Waterford makes it's second straight trip to the Schott and the 4th straight for the TVC-Hocking. Game time is Friday at 1:00, winner will play for the state championship on Saturday at 5:15.

IMO Waterfod's defense will be too much for the Patriots but this will most likely be the most athletic team they have played in the tourney. The relentless pressure on defense (they Held the district player of the year to 4 points in the district finals), constant movement and patients on offense will prevail. Waterford has only given up more than 30 points in a game and more than 10 points in a quarter once this tournament season (Regoinal Final, FC 38 points, 14 points in the 4th). Waterford by 15+.

Isn't Wahama in WV? I'm famillar with hearing Wahama & associating Athens & NY with the TVC via FB, but I've never heard of Waterford. I not trying to make any1 mad but I just want to get famillar with the basketball teams in SEO.

I grew up in the Lutz FB era & BB tourney happened a few times then, I think IHS girls made the final 4 in 1980-81.
With FB loosing ground @ IHS & the talk of AD LaFon wanting Ironton to become a BB destination, I just want to be more famillar with teams representing SEO.

Wahama is located in Mason, West Virginia. It sets right off the Pomeroy Mason bridge.

Waterford is located just outside of Beverly, Ohio which is near Marietta. Let's say they're right on the far eastern edge of the southeast region. Fort Frye is a couple of stone throws away and they compete in the eastern regional.

Ok, my 20+ year absence has clogged my geographical area memory.
I've been lost in that area hanging around in Pomeroy & Racine. My cousin played Basketball in the early 80's for Racine & they were @ state quite a bit if I remember correctly.

It's great to hear that area of Ohio being represented so well @ state with Waterford, Beverly Fort frye, & Athen's trendndous FB team 2 seasons ago. That was a heartbreaker. I actually flew in to watch all division championships.
