Game
Burg won 51-43 I think was the score. Unfortunately Minford did not seem to start playing until the 2nd half.
Wheelersburg 51 - Minford 43. You were correct bleacherwarmer.

Very disappointing. I thought that we had a great chance to knock off Wheelersburg which coud have given some hope of a long tournament run. Maybe they will play like the second half from now on. You have to give props to Wheelersburg. They have really improved over the last couple of years.

Falconflyer-I'm sure the Lady Falcons were very disappointed also!
Yes Burg has improved, and they deserve alot of credit for there defense, but you have to give the Lady Falcons some credit, to come back- in the second half down (27-9) I believe, not too many teams can come out with there heads up with only scoring 9pts-in 2 quarters and play with that much determination and get back in a game, especially against burg @ burg. That in itself is a very tough task. They showed alot of character and will to win, don't count them out of a long tournament run yet, hopefully this lit the fire. I was very proud of them for coming out with there heads up & playing hard, and not giving up.
Lets Go Minford Lady Falcons!!!

Minford 57 - Crooksville 24
http://www.zanesvilletimesrecorder.com/ ... 00311/1006
Minford 55, Crooksville 24
At Wellston, the Ceramics (3-19) couldn't overcome 33 turnovers in a bid to pull off the upset win over the third-seeded Falcons (14-7), which moved on to district play at Waverly.
Minford jumped ahead 26-10 at halftime and expanded the lead to 43-13 after three periods.
"They full-court pressed us from beginning to end; we couldn't get it upcourt and we didn't take care of it," said Crooksville coach Roger Ross. "We played a lot of young kids this season; hopefully it will pay off for next year."
Whitney McManus poured in 24 points and Brittany Harris added 14 for the winners, who made a solid 15 of 22 foul shots for 68 percent.
Crooksville was led by Murphie Rambo's seven points and six by Katie Weaver on a pair of treys. She and Kayla Gorby each had two assists and Alisha Pillsbury came up with three steals.
