gt13osu, are you crazy. Waterford didn't beat Fed by 20 on their own floor last month. If you want to see another intense game that will go down to the wire, then go to the D.C. McInturf gym on January 22nd. I know both team will not disappoint any of their fans. Wildcats by 20, that is a wish ,not reality!!

GW, you are correct I am NOT a FED HOCK fan, I am not not a fan either. I simply can not stand people who only come on the internet when their team wins!!!!! Pure and simple! I also am not a fan of parents who come to beat the drum of their school or kid, with that agenda in mind, in five years they could give a "Rats flea bitten butt" about the kids or how the team is doing. Fans like you, Steely Dan, and many others are here for one reason and one reason only!!!!

Polpot-

I don't know about Steely, but I try to be more like you every day. Thank you again for the leadership and knowledge you bestow upon us, for we are not worthy... It's so kind of you to tear yourself away from the Alex Volleyball thread long enough to enlighten us.

The best girls game I have seen in recent memory. Alexander led early, but FH pretty much stayed in control once they got the lead, even thought it was a very competitive game.
The Alexander pressure yielded quite a bit of Lancer offense in the first half, and some run outs late in the game as the Spartans were trying to get closer with the clock ticking down.
Good luck to both teams, I am certain they will finish with very successful seasons.

This was a great game by both teams. Good luck to the lady lancers the rest of the season.

Seems that the Lady Spartans have forgotten how to drive to the bucket when needed. Took too much time off the clock toward end of the game passing the ball around. When you are down points, you need to get the ball in the basket somehow even if its from the free throw line after drawing a foul. I just hope these ladies will come together and get a win tonight against Vinton. Speedy girls didn't win this game for us tonight as it does sometimes. Thought Coach was pretty easy on the girls compared to how he normally is too. He is a great person, and coach but he didn't have his game face on the last couple games. The girls might need that again since that is what they are use to. Don't give up ladies!!! You are outstanding atheletes who just need to get back on track again.

Again, great job to the Lancers for your win over Alex ladies. It was a good one.

Instead of posting complaint about the messenger on here you should call them and complain. What good does it do to complain on here. Patients works too. I am pretty sure that there will be a great article in the paper today.

The reporters read this stuff also. Maybe the lady Spartans still do have a little jet lag. Hard to believe coach is
going easy on the girls. When I've seen them he is normally all over them.

If this is meant to be a compliment, then I apologize... I must admit I read your post several times trying to determine your intentions.

ps- I don't think Athens78 wrote the article you mentioned.

I called it first. I said Waterford and Federal Hocking would beat them. sports mom 09 what do you mean the coach never had his game face on? I did not know the coaches played. It is Federal Hocking and Waterford how could the team not be jacked up to them and Alex should realize that they have a big target on their back everywhere they go. Oak Hill and Alex has been the most sucessful teams in the last few yars so they get everyones best effort. I was at the game and Alexander just didn't play with and intensity. The coach can't box out the other team and they can't shoot the lay-ups for the girls. I only remember Alex only shooting 4 foul shots and they missed all four of them. I don't think Alexanders problem is here to stay I look for the coach to get them playing hard again. They just don't look like the typical Alexander teams of the past.

I agree that the girls didn't play as well as what they are capable of birdman. No, the coach doesn't play the game, its the girls who play it. According to the paper, Alex went 3-8 from the free throw line. Long passes killed Alex also. There were many things that went wrong for them on Saturday. I am just saying that I didn't see the drive in coach like he normally has at a game. These girls will turn it around!!! When tournament time comes around, standings in league or overall mean nothing, its how you play that keeps you going. Good luck ladies.

Been waiting for the storm to pass ... now that is has ... Saturdays games weren't really close nor did they provied much drama toward the end ... but they were exciting to take in.

Im not surprised by the Girls win @ McInturf Gymnasium over Alex ... The Spartans are going through a bit of 'down' time it their schedule, but im confident they will pop back up in time to win a TVC-Ohio title and make noise in the D-3 tourney.

The Fed Hock girls I have been praising all year; just not many would listen ... Maybe they will now. Their win @ Nelsonville was just as impressive IMO, the Lady Bucks are good and very good at home ... The Lancer-Waterford game will be one helluva game and I hope I get the opportunity to see it ... Should be a classic with the Lady Cats being about a 10 point favorite - but the game is in STEWART - which should balance out the situation.
