Tell me why? Because he is one of the few decent coaches Logan actually has.?
Since I am being crucify, well I might as well state a fact! How many talented player has the current coach ran off? I know of at least two this year! Maybe with them we might have a winning record!
Is it---who the coach ran off or is it the player just didn't want to continue or a parent didn't care for how their daughter playing time was going. Some parents believe their child is better than what the child is.---I have seen this plenty of time over the last 40/50 years.

I just wish you would stop stating opinions as fact. You obviously have an axe to grind with Logan coaches that also happen to be alumni. Meyers, Wolfe and now Walsh. Kids quitting is not a good reason to run off a good coach unless there is a pattern. Recent cases appear to be no more than some not willing to put in the time or running from the competition for playing time. The players that decided to not play wouldn't be making any difference. I would love to know your theory on why a coach would run off his best players or not give them adequate playing time? Coaches want to win they don't try to sabotage their own programs.

And would you please read your posts ahead of time. "I am being crucify". What the hell is that?

The 2010 League title comment is asinine. Logan won against a great Jackson team and an even more successful Marietta team....Warren is never a slouch. I watched Logan trail Jackson the whole darn game and Walsh was calm as can be never letting the girls see potential angst....up until the end Logan was down 2 with 1.6 seconds left, I was 3 rows back and he never bat an eye, completely cool in the huddle, drew up the play....Jackson was heartbroken.

More proof this year down 37-14 and his girls never flinched and came back to make it a great game.

And running off kids????? Lol I cannot speak intelligently about kids at Logan but I can attest for 2 other school districts and dozens of kids who were "ran off"......3 types
From end of the benchers to first team all state the year before.

1. Player/parent thought princess should be playing more.

2. Player had a rough upbringing or golden spoon upbringing and just refused to bend to the coaches rules.

3. It was the kid's 3rd sport and meh....already have 2 others and better things to do.

I think we have a problem with our girls youth programs not fully supporting the concepts of the High School coaches program!

Wow if they get rid of Coach Walsh I have lost all faith in our admin! He has worked his butt off for the girls' program and has many successful seasons under his belt. He is a coach that doesn't say what parents or players want to hear, but instead is straight up and truthful with them. We need those kinds of coaches! Wish we had more and hoping the new Football coach will be more like Walsh as a head coach. As far as girls not going out for the team ... One just likes volleyball and wants to concentrate on it. Not sure about the others, but am sure the talent of the freshman class was intimidating. Could it be a certain relative of Moonshine's is on the reserve team and that upsets him? He seems to have so much inside info. Makes me wonder? Also, if we need to work on the girls programs, how about the girls track program? Any success there lately?

Right now Logan's track team is running even with the basketball team. Our girls should take second this year and the title next with 3 straight classes with middles school championships. The program is looking great with this coach.

I wish the best for the Lady Chiefs, but you have to remember that running/playing hoops as 8th graders, is very different than
running/playing as a high school student. You are up against older, seasoned athletes. Not saying it can't be done, just sometimes the
predictions don't happen and then everyone wants to know why. Takes awhile to build those runners/hoopsters and then sometimes,
they decide they don't want to do those sports because now there is so many other things going on in high school that take their attention.
Have seen it happen a great deal over the last few years, in a lot of schools.

We must be following two different girls track programs. I see a focus on one event and not much attention to any others. Also, don't know why two coaches sit in the stand the whole meet. Lets move around and do some coaching!

I have been to a lot of track meets and it is nothing for coaches to sit in the stands. I have sit with or beside head coached in the stands during the meets. If people can't see where the Logan girls track program is going they just do not follow the program. I have talked to a few outside coaches and they tell me Logan will be the team to beat after this year. I have even had one coach say they will take the league this year, but I still say Chillicothe is still too strong to bump off this year.

I hope you are right. I would like for the Girls Track Program to find some success. We will see... My point is there are many other girls programs and boys programs that need work more than girl's basketball. Many coaches just going through the motions not producing results and coach Walsh is not one of them! Move on and evaluate other programs that are stagnant. I want the All Sports Trophy back at Logan, so lets light a fire under some of these stagnant programs!!!!

Meanwhile off with the cleats and back on the hardwood. The Lady Chiefs travel to Jackson tonight to take on the undefeated Ironladies. Last game at Logan was decent so we will see how the team is maturing. Jackson is looking to go thru the season in the league without a loss. After Logan they will go to Warren . Good luck to the Lady Chiefs.

logan JV lose tonight to a much improved Jackson JV team. Logan VArsity 34 Jackson Varsity 57. IMO it is not that LOgan is that bad but that Jackson is that good. To much all around team for the Lady Chiefs. The girls played tough but better days are ahead for this group of girls.

I'm not sure what Walsh is supposed to do. Logan just called a time out and you could clearly hear him talking directly at the girls that they were going to press now and everytime we get the chance....huddle broke and Jackson had the ball to inbound on Logan's side and the Logan girls were standing near 1/2 court on the Jackson side of the floor. Lol....it wasn't 20 seconds after he said that and they didn't do it without him reminding them. They were very careless with the ball when they would try getting it down the floor quickly. Many of the girls just seemed very complacent.

"we're playing one of the best teams in the state and this is the effort you're going to give?"

I've coached girls over 40 different sporting seasons...there are times and girls that there is simply nothing you can say. Sometimes the kid has to be mentally tough and not let outside factors affect their game.

Can anyone post all the wins/losses for the SEOAL teams? I don't recall seeing any of those as of late.
Thanks
