plus the freshmen girls that are on your team ALWAYS played up. never at their own age.
next level:you have two freshmen girls that were 10u state champs. 11u and 12u state runners up. they finished ranked in the top seventeen in the country during their 10u season. i dont think you know as much as you think about aau. it does prepare you for playing better competition, size can only take you so far. this is definitely true with the team they played on. it sounds like you either have aau envy or hale envy because that is who coached them. i would guess it is the latter because of the rivalry. to say that everybody plays down is just a plain false statement. some teams may, most dont.
good luck lady falcons.

Well first..somehow saying some of our girls are young in an answer to Minford Mike has set off ppl for some unknown reason..Ok..first of all..my daughter has played aau since she was 10..so the not knowing much about aau is incorrect..she had a late birthday (Oct, Nov, etc) so she always played up while all of her other friends played down due to their (Jan, Feb, etc) birthdates..so my daughter was always playing with girls who were one grade ahead of her..while others were playing with players the grade below them..and while I never received our freshman's obviously wonderful resumes..I did have a daughter that played as a freshman and I don't care how many AAU tournaments she played in..and there were numerous tournaments and national rankings..it is still not playing against 17 and 18 year olds as a 14 year old..they are bigger and stronger just as my daughter is now compared to her size as a freshman..sorry, its just my opinion..take it for what it is..the freshman are quite capable but YES..they are young..duh??? but that is my experience. and I don't know why you can't understand that I am not saying they chose to play down..but some birthdates are more advantageous than others..try and understand that if possible..I do not have Hale envy..whatever that is..or AAU envy since my daughter has played on several teams in numerous states..my only comment was that we were young..so my guess is that u are trying to come up with excuses or something prior to season...I can't believe saying that our girls were young would set off this debate..I was just answering a question from another...gd luck to everyone and I will try and refer to all players as seasoned veterans from now on...and not make comments of their ages.

No predictions..both are very good teams. Just looking forward to great basketball..and didn't mean to slam anyone..just felt your "clarification" was a little aggressive and needed "clarification"..good luck to all the teams..a lot of talent, of all ages, which the area should be proud of...Good Luck to Minford and Nelsonville tomorrow..two great programs! Agreed Minford Mike..lets just have fun!

Great game!!! As MOF stated Minford was up..But once Oaks got close, they kept it close the rest of the game. Everyone played well at times, Harris, Mcmanus,Conrad,Martin,Donahoe,Justice all played a major role in the win, not sure of the scoring, but seemed to be pretty balanced for this team. Go Lady Falcons, good luck to Lady Oaks.

A very close game. Oak Hill as always is well coached and good. I think that The SOC II will be a dogfight all of the way. There are some critical early games. This gives Minford a leg up. I think that the SOC II winner may have 2-3 league losses. Oak Hill ca not afford any more. Let's not forget the two Oak Hill losses are on the road. Good job Falcons. I thought that you played hard last night.

Valley is a very good team, but I have to go with my Lady Falcons in this one. If they play with confidence and execute there offense-- not many teams can stop them, once they get it going, there defense is usually always good, I'm hoping they are ready to play. It should be another close game, not too many blow outs are going to happen this year. Go Minford Lady Falcons!!!
