14-0.

How many did Ridout end up scoring?

Ironladies travel to Portsmouth on Saturday and then the schedule slows down a little. Only two games in two weeks after that, which I'm sure will provide some much needed rest after such a tough stretch of games recently.

Sounds like the schedule starting to take a little toll on the Ironladies, some slow starts indicative of maybe some tired legs? Be good to have a two week stretch with just a couple games.

My daughter just showed me where Heather Chapman (varsity player last year 5'10 and crazy athletic) helped lead her high school team in North Carolina to a win over one of the top teams in the state. Heather had 16 pts and 14 rb. She's a junior. As good or bad as Jackson ever is in girls or boys basketball....we never gain a transfer of great quality but we lose them more often than others.

I'm glad to hear she's doing very well and I'm sure she's proud of her friends and former teammates for what they've impressively have done so far.

Congrats to Kaci Jenkins with a career high 14 pts off the bench. Congrats also go out to Abby Waugh and Sidney Baisden on their first career varsity minutes and points.

Wow can you imagine the potential play-off run if the Chapman girl still here? We are strong now but she would have added another athletic dimension to the team. Great to hear she is having success in NC.

When we aren't hitting, her ability to get to the rim and get the foul was uncanny. Jackson is so good because several players have good games every game...3 is about the minimum, but often 5 or 6. Chapman would just be one more to deal with...hoping all involved can go to the regionals and compete.

Has the break in the schedule gotten the Ironladies legs fresh again and ready for the post season? Hope they are rested and ready to peak over the next month in final league play and play-offs.

They don't seem as good as they were during their impressive run early on just drilling Minford, Chillicothe and even at Eastern Meigs.

They aren't shooting quite as well, foul trouble seems to keep one player from getting into the flow early on and teams are seemingly getting the players they want to shoot taking more shots than before.

Still winning, all but locked the top seed and looking a league title square in the face. Great season already.....if they get back to the hot shooting, along with their experience....could be a fun next 6 weeks.

My sense too was that they flattened out a little after the early-mid season dominant play they had against the teams you mentioned I92. Hopefully Coach Walburn figure out a way to get them back on track and peaking for play-off time. Barring a meltdown should finish with a perfect season, exciting times for JHS Girls roundball indeed.
