Emily had another good game tonite as North Adams won the McDonalds tournament championshio over Peebles. I am stunned that she wasn't on the all tourney team. She certainly deserved it.

The Lady Devils put together a pretty good game tonight as they came out the McDonald's Holiday Classic Champions by beating Peebles 70 to 49. They came out a little sluggish at the start of the 3rd, but other than that it was a pretty good effort tonight by the Lady Devils.

Congrats as well to Peebles senior Emily Hoop for reaching the 1000 point mark in her career.

The Lady Devils continue their SHL schedule on Monday night (Jan. 4th) at Ripley. NA beat Ripley in the first meeting at NA by 22. Ripley is always a tough place to play though. Look for the game to be a little closer, but if the Lady Devils play like they did this weekend, it should be another league win for NA.

Go Lady Devils!

The Lady Devils pulled out an ugly win tonight by beating Ripley by 11. NA struggled on the offensive end tonight but locked down on defense. Only gave up 38 points. Final 49 - 38. Another solid performance tonight by NA freshman, Emily Fite.

That Thursday game may wind up getting played later in the year if the weather forecast pans out. Last night was a good game for the Lady Devils. Winning at Ripley is never easy.

Hope they are wrong with the forecast! NA's schedule coming up here in a couple weeks is brutal. With 8 games in a 21 day stretch, it would be tough to try and squeeze in another game. The next couple weeks for NA has only 2 games for them, but Fayetteville has a pretty full schedule. Weathermen have been wrong before (a lot to be honest), let's hope they are wrong with this one.

If it does get played, Thursday's game at Fayetteville will be a good test for the Lady Devils as Fayetteville is a pretty good team with one of the top players in this area in Shelby Sheets. Fayetteville is a very well coached team as well.

Let's Go Lady Devils!!! Stay away snow!!!!

Well the snow made it! Unfortunately, the weatherman finally got one right. Game tonight against Fayetteville is cancelled. Make up date is Mon. Feb. 1st. Makes the last three weeks of the season pretty rough with 9 games in 21 days.

Thursdays game at Lynchburg could go a long way in determining the SHL champion. Lynchburg defeated Eastern Brown (holding them to 22 points) last night leaving North Adams as the only team unblemished in league play. Winning at Lynchburg would definitely give the Lady Devils a decided advantage in winning the league but it is not going to be easy. Lynchburg is a very good team and the students up there make it very tough on opponents. If the Lady Devils maintain their poise and not allow themselves to get rattled by the opposing crowd they should do fine.

The North Adams traveled to Lynchburg tonight and returned back to Adams County with a hard-fought 53-42 victory!!! This game was not for the weak....The Lady Devils fought all night, before pulling away late.

Great performances again by several Lady Devils, including Karli Beasley, who led North Adams with 23 points....Freshman Emily Fite chipped in 12 points and several HUGE defensive plays.

Overall, a great victory for North Adams (It has been at least 15 years since the Lady Devils had won at Lynchburg)

North Adams is now 8-0 in SHL play and 10-1 overall.

That was a huge win for North Adams and really puts them in a nice position for the league title. I thought the 1-2-2 trap defense NA used really threw Lynchburg off. It was a charged atmosphere with 2 fan ejections in the first quarter.
Congratulations to the Lady Devils an another big win.

Here's a couple of summaries of the game. Coach Hatten doesn't give much credit to the Lady Devils for the win.

Great win for our Lady Devils.
We don't care who gets the credit as long as we get the win.

That's true. Hopefully they can beat themselves again when they visit NA later this season.

Really proud of this group of young ladies! They are playing extremely hard and do what they need to do to win games. A lot of bad streaks are going out the window for North Adams this season so far. The long losing streaks at Eastern and Lynchburg are over. The first and #1 goal for this team all year has been to break the long drought of no SHL titles, 24 years has passed since they last won the league title. This win definitely put them one step closer to accomplishing this goal. The goal right now is to stay focused on winning the SHL title! Right now, we are up 2 games with 5 to play! The trophy is within reach, continue working hard and it will happen!!!!!

Let's Go Lady Devils!

The Lady Devils travel to Maysville, Kentucky tonight to take on the Lady Royals of Mason County. It should be a good game! This is the first game in 9 days for North Adams, but it also starts a tough stretch of 9 games in 19 days. The positive thing is that 6 of those 9 games are at home.

I believe the Lady Devils are ready for this stretch. So many things are on the line in this stretch including the SHL title and possibly the #1 seed in the tournament. Lets go ladies!!! We can do this!!!!

The Lady Devils suffered their second loss of the season tonight by losing to Mason County, 54 - 47. North Adams had a MISERABLE 3rd quarter as they were up by 9 at the half and allowed the Lady Royals to go on a 17 - 0 run to start the 3rd. TO's and terrible shooting is what cost the Lady Devils in the 3rd.

Need to forget this one and get ready for the HUGE League game on Monday Night versus Eastern Brown. It should be a great game!!

Let's Go Lady Devils!!!
