I don't have a dog in this fight, but any coach who would run a score up like that has issues, IMO. Was that this year? Was it a payback? There has to be an underlying reason for something like that to happen.

If one of these two are to make it to the final 4 they better do it this year. We all know with Africentric moving up, Berlin Hiland can't wait to get back down here to play in the regional. My bet is next year they will be back, unless they know something we don't like that Africentric will be juggling the numbers to get back in the lower division or something. But mark my words, one of them will be back next season.

Ask ESPN? That is stupid. Webster fans think she is the second coming of Christ. And yes, she is a Very good player, but for the last four years the team should have been called the SW Kayla Cooks for as much as you put this girl on a pedastool. There are two MAJOR differences between Sina King & Kayla Cook that Kayla's boys at ESPN prolly know. King is a post player. If you are a 6' post player, you're not going to a major program. It's amazing she's still going to the MAC. That just shows her work ethic. Cook is a guard. It's a lot easier to play D1 college basketball at 5'10" when you run point or 2 guard. Also, the reason why King hasn't blown people away with 2,000 points: she has a major supporting cast. Something that the South Webster Cooks do not have. That is why people are saying Cook will be shut down-because when you are double teamed at half court, it doesn't matter if you're Kobe Bryant, you Need teammates.

Like I said, I'm not taking away from Cooks accomplishments--she is a great player and there is no doubt about that. But YOU, the fans--have turned her into your entire team. And boy, I would hate to be one of the teammates that never gets mentioned.

Well u have to know the whole team before u think that its just about Kayla, Everyone one on the team know they have a job to do on the floor, I have been around this whole group of girls since they have been in the 3rd grade playing ball. An they all could CARELESS who scores the points the main goal of the whole team is to WIN! I know cause my daughter is one of the ones that dont get mentioned alot but what she now her role is on the DEFENSIVE SIDE, an wounder how many assests she had the other night i myself now of at least 7 so that could have been another 14 points!

How did she have 7 assists. Cook either took it to the hole and scared or took it to the hole and dished. I bet she accounted for 95% of their points. Excellent post btw Gh123

I have seen the Cook girl play twice this year and for anyone to say she will be shut down is CRAZY. She is one of the best girls basketball players I have ever seen play. Waterford has nobody that can stay with her, she is way to quick and to good of a ball handler. The only for her to be stopped if she happens to get cold shooting the ball like she did in the 2nd half against Eastern. That press might cause a few the turnovers but IMO will be scored on maybe enough to make Waterford to get out of it. Eastern put there 2 fastest girls on her with there press and couldn't stop her and one of them was the Connery girl who is faster than anyone Waterford has. Waterford has no room to talk bad about the SW fans and there Cook girl when all Waterford can talk about is King. Don't run either one of these young ladies down because without either one of them neither team would be what they are or where they are now. Both girls can play the game and will get their pts when they face off. It will depend on the supporting cast to step up in this game to give the stars a chance to shine at the end of this matchup. With that being said I think the Cook girl shines and wins it in dramatic fashion in the end. Good luck to both teams and congrats on both teams accomplishments.

Eastern had Maxson and Holter guard Cook. Connery may have helped here and there, but it was primarily Maxson's job. Eastern just couldnt properly execute a half court trap. And have you even seen Waterford play? They are a complete team. They have two main scorers but EVERYONE plays very tough defense.

Ill say A!! These are 2 very good teams. This game would have happened 2 yrs ago if the regional brackets hadnt been looped. Webster played Africentric 2 yr in a row. An then they played Harvest prep last yr. Waterford played Berlin Hiland 2 in a row an not sure about last if my memory is correct.

I still say it will be a BATTLE!!!

This thread is about a game that has been in the making for 3 years. Two very talented teams each with two dominate players. I get tired of it turning in to a p**sing match between some of the posters.

Hopefully it will be a clean well played game with my Lady Jeeps coming out on top!!
