Waterford coaches stood in a daze as the second quarter flew by, the crowd was yelling for the defense to get back, but the coach still had them pressing, I'm guessing some spectator went in the locker room at the half and told him to lay off the press, they finally figured it out by the 3rd, but the damages were done.

Cats definitely off guard by the FC guard play. Consistently broke Cats' press in first half. Waterford very cold from field again. Ugly win but a win is a win.

I'm not sure what your expectations are, but there's not very many coaches that have taken a team to the state 4 years in a row. Especially from a small Public School.

I think they were caught off-guard a little bit by the cherry picking, but they adjusted, which is what a good coach does.

Remember, Fairfield Christian is ranked 5th in the state.

Fairfield Christian played an outstanding game, point guard was a terrific ball handler. Waterford's press didn't seem to bother them.

Survive and advance, that's what it's about at this stage.

A time out called tonight with 27 secs left and a 43-42 lead resulted in the game winning play from the side out to an "alley oop" type play that resulted in a bunny and one and a 46-42 lead. FC killed them in the 2nd qtr on fast breaks from rebounds on bullet long passes down court(reminded me of Wes Unseld type fast break initiators!). FC went from a 4-13 deficit to a 19-18 lead just before half.

I was afraid of this game.Thought Waterford might get a little tight.Lets face it, for these girls not to make State would have been a major disappoinment.You made it,now win it ALL.Good luck Cats.

Good Luck Cats! Did Southern Ohio proud, FC.looks like a big time contender for title next year and Congrats to them, best team so far in season the Cats has faced. Let’s bring the Trophy back down here.

Congrats to Waterford on there regional title! What an outstanding run by the ladies at Waterford the last 5 years! And u still have fans that complain about the coach LMAO! Gotta love it..oh well.
