falconfan86..I agree that the team has the possibility to go very far, but the only way that will happen is if it's a team effort as you stated. That was my point. Once we start talking about individuals, things start to deteriorate. This team is loaded with talent. So anyone who starts to think in individual terms..needs to play elsewhere. I understand completely that you want to defend our team. as do I, but I think if the girls play as a team, that effort will speak volumes! After watching this team play this summer, I'm looking forward to a great year!

I've watched these girls play and they are a "team" with many girls capable of getting the ball down the court and scoring. Everybody knows that you can't center your game on one player because a smart team will take that player down and then where will you be. You'll be left with a bunch of players not sure what they are supposed to do. This team is a real threat because when you take one out there's another one right there. Good Luck Ladies

Can someone list some of the returning players that will contribute for the Falcons this year?

Over the years I've seen a lot of kids set out a year or so and they are never the same when they come back. I hope for Minford she does help but history shows it normally doesn't work.

She is athletically gifted, comes natural to her.
She played this summer and did fine.

next level...I truly cannot recall one time Justice did not play team ball. She has never tried to play individual bball so I think she will remain at Minford. I totally agree the lady falcons will be strong and have a great chance this year to go far if they play team ball. Looking forward to watch the lady falcons this year and hopefully they will be in the gym soon. Good luck to all the lady falcons!!!

Somagic..Where did I EVER say Justice didn't play team ball..NEVER..I was just saying to falconfan86..who was saying that she was not used enough in the offense..that lets not start talking in individual terms ABOUT ANYONE..if we play as a team..we will be successful. Any team that doesn't, fails completely. And ANYONE that doesn't want to play in that type of system..needs to go play for someone else. There are teams that focus on 1 or 2 players..but Minford doesn't need to do that..they can pose the largest threat by hitting people from every position, including our very deep bench. To be clear, I have NEVER seen Justice play individual ball, she is very talented as are her teammates. That was my only point. I NEVER discuss any player in individual terms on this forum. Good luck this year girls!!

Kendra developed into a very good point guard for the lady falcons last year. If anything we were trying to get her to shoot the ball more. She was so worried about getting her teammates involved in the offense that defenses started to sag off her to double team someone else. When Coach Conley had her convinced it was ok to shoot it...it was great to watch her grow. She is not only a very good player but a very respectful and hard working young lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Good Luck Kenny!

"VERY IMPRESSIVE SCHEDULE"
one of the toughest schedules I've seen yet!

Heard open gyms were going great, and was told the girls
can't wait to get started, they have around 13 girls attending
and once fall sports are over there will be plenty more.
Also, they have some really tough scrimmages coming up
next month, throughout the state.
The girls should be well prepared for the start of the season.
GOOD LUCK MINFORD LADY FALCONS!
THIS SHOULD BE YOUR YEAR!

If Jamie Jenkins is the new jv coach, it will be a nice addition
to an already great staff.
