The New Boston Glenwood Lady Tigers won the first battle of the Cats tonight with the win over Clay. The Tigers led after one 10-5, Clay was up at the half 21-18. The Panthers had their largest lead of the night at 23-18 just as the second half began. NB scratches back to lead at the end of three at 35-29 and continued to increase that lead in the final stanza. The final score was the Tigers' largest lead.

The Tigers move to 9-3 overall and 7-1 in league play. Clay falls to 7-3 and 7-2.

New Boston next goes to Green on Thursday for another battle with the Cats. Clay hosts Western Pike that same day.

The JV Tigers also won! They are 6-1 overll and 6-0 in league play. If this info is not correct, someone please correct me. Thanks.

The Lady Tigers just got by the Bobcats last night. New Boston jumps to 10-3 overall and 8-1 in league play. Green slips to 7-5 and 7-3.

Up next for New Boston is 1/22 as the Tigers host the Eastern Eagles 4-8, 2-7.

On Saturday the 24th, the South Gallia Rebels come to town with a 9-2 record.

The Junior Varsity Eagles defeated the Tigers 16-12 in a two quarter game.

The New Boston Junior High Boys and Girls both fell to the Eagles in Beaver tonight.

The Lady Tigers, now 11-3, 9-1 await the South Gallia Rebels on Saturday. Eastern drops to 4-10 overall and 2-8 in league play. Eastern travels to Clay on 1/29.

The New Boston at Eastern makeup game from 12/11 will be played on Saturday, 1/31 at 6:00. Other games next week are Tigers at Ironton St.Joseph 5-7, on Monday and on Thursday host the Notre Dame Titans 3-10.

The South Gallia Rebels won the Junior Varsity game.

Lady Rebels..............you had a great crowd today supporting you. That was by far the most fans any visiting team has brought to the Den this year.

Next up for New Boston this coming week are at Ironton St.Joseph 5-7 on Monday to meet the Flyers. On Thursday, the Tigers host the Notre Dame Titans 3-10 and Saturday are on the road at Beaver Eastern 4-10 in a make up game.

Alyssa Raines scored 17 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to help New Boston double-up South Gallia Saturday afternoon.

Missy Buckley scored 17 points and had four steals in the winning effort. Kayla Wiley scored six, adding 10 rebounds, 10 assists and four steals.

"This was a big win for us," Lady Tigers coach Jon Estep said. "It's probably by far the best team game we've had as far as getting everybody involved and spreading the scoring around. We kept the game balanced and had South Gallia on their heals all game long."

New Boston will travel to St. Joe on Monday.

Lady Tiger non conference team updates...............

New Boston defeated Division III Georgetown 36-29 at home. The Lady G-Men are 13-5 and leading the National Division of the Southern Buckeye Conference at 12-2.

The Lady Tigers defeated Division III Nelsonville York 60-32 at the Paint Valley Classic. The Lady Buckeyes 8-6 are currently second in the Ohio Division of the Tri Valley Conference.

NB fell to Division III South Point 63-54 at South Point. The Lady Pointers 17-2 are currently in first place in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The Lady Tigers fell to Division III West Union 82-77 in West Union. The Lady Dragons 3-14 are in last place in Division I of the Southern Hills League.

New Boston defeated Division IV Mercerville South Gallia 60-30 today at home. The Lady Rebels 10-4 compete as an independent.

The final non conference team is Division IV Ironton St.Joseph. The Lady Flyers are 7-10 and also compete as an independent. This game has not been scheduled to make up date.
