I guess I should have been a little more clear---is McClain playing this year? She should help on the boards

The only way I see Jackson failing to take the league is if they have some of the last second missed shots or the last second shots made by the other team last last year.

Jackson plays Peebles in the Paint Valley Classic this Saturday. Let's see how this plays out. Long season and there could be issues that come up as it goes along. Jackson is the league favorite IMO.

Logan has a scrimmage with Marietta this coming Tuesday. Should be somewhat of a bellweather night.

saw PHS in a scrimmage last night. Still think they have some ball handling issues at ther guard spot but the girl they picked from Greenup is off the charts athletic at 6'0" or 6 '1 and can beat anyone from one end to the othe, even while dribbling . She is a difference maker. Bean at 5'10 or so is a baller. This team is going to surprise people bigtime. MD

Logan scrimmaged Marietta which was a good challenge. The overall talent level for Logan is good. Frasure did not play and it looks like she might miss the first coulple games this season. The scrimmage being what it is puts a mix of players and is a good "see what happens" event.
In the half court offense Logan seems well drilled and everyone looked to be on the same page no matter what the mix was.
On defense, mostly in the half court , some loss of help and general court awareness was more apparent depending on the mix.
No real shooters showed up but there might be one later.
Playing in transition was spotty at best but this will improve.
Overall this team will compete and be a nice team this year.

I did not see the Collins girl at the Westfall or Marietta scrimmage. Is she hurt, or not playing this year?

The final 3 were very even, but Marietta won 2 of 3 and Logan played better than they did Saturday. Marietta I was told has their whole team back this year and the girl going to Costal Carolina (or being looked at) got red hot and hit 5 threes in the final quarter. They will be very good. Logan played well vs the Marietta press and was able to get up the floor with their guards. Its still early in the season, but Logan is getting better.
Marietta graduated four seniors that played alot of minutes last year. The report I got was Marietta won first two quarters easily then the rest were closer. Marietta will have almost the whole team back next year as they have only one senior. I was also told eight qtrs (over two hours) of just those to teams.

Just going on reports. One parent told me after that first was like 14-4, then like 16-8. For the first two qtrs. Was told last qtr was two point qtr with Marietta getting several steals in last 50 seconds and turning the ball over or putting up uneeded shots. Bad end of game/qtr management was the report. Was told 10 minute qtrs and went over two hours. About 3 minutes in between qtrs. Strange math somewhere.

I know for sure that Marietta does not have entire team back and only one senior this year.

Good Luck in the SEOAL this season. As far as I can tell it comes down to Jackson, Logan and Warren. Who will upset who on the road this year.

During the summer I saw Frasure with her wrist wrapped is this why she isn't playing?

Logan Varsity 30, Kilbourne 35. Logan JV win big. A very ugly offensive game for Logan as the score would indicate. Logan was missing their inside scoring threat but missed many opportunities. Leading 12 to 3 at 1st quarter whistle things went south from there. Both teams shot 17 freebies with Kilbourne making 14 and Logan putting in 3. This is a snapshot of the game. Fairfield Union up next this Thursday. FU will be a better team then Kilbourne. Go Chiefs.
