I don't even know what to say about the game ... I'm tickled to death Athens won ... but seeing the Jackson player, with her arms wrapped around her mom crying her eyes out, as we walked toward the door to leave - gave me an entire different view on the situation ... I really felt bad for that young lady!
Yeah, that's what kills me too. Seeing the emotion that comes with all the time and effort, all the hard work, hours and hours with your teammates...and then it's all over, just like that. Can't help but feel bad for young athletes who put their heart and soul into the game that they love, but have to experience a night like tonight. That's how it goes, but it certainly doesn't make it any easier.
