Great job by the Bulldog girls. Coach Horsley had his team prepared and had a great gameplan. I don't think he gets nearly enough credit for the job he has done.

Congrats to the Lady Bulldogs of Athens and Coach Horsely and staff. Athens played a little better game and hit a few more shots. They deserved to move on. Best of luck against West Holmes....nothing to lose and enjoy the challenge.

One ref was good, one was ok but a few insane calls and one simply cannot do a game without being the focus......BUT THEY DID NOT DECIDE THIS GAME...ATHENS earned it.

Jackson girls played hard but had some trouble popping out on a few 3's in the first half and had 3 turnovers when it was a 50-50 game. Nothing to hang their heads on. There is a reason so many fans were there supporting. They came to watch one of Jackson's greatest basketball teams ever. A joy to watch over the years. Best of luck to all the seniors! Awards will be announced soon and I'd imagine will have 5 girls recognized....and worthy.

Congratulations to the Athens Lady Bulldog Basketball program and also to Jackson on a great season. Listened to game on radio and it was a great one to listen to. You could even hear the Athens fan who sits on the front row and does the Rick Flair, "whoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!" Does anyone know this guy?

The best team between these two on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Jackson was Jackson.

The best team between these two tonight was Athens.

If they played 20 times, it likely is a 10-10 split.

On 93Bulldog's radio show before the game, my "official Vegas line" went off as the Ironladies were a 1.5-point favorite and I predicted a 55-53 win for Jackson.

I looked up at 50-50 with 1:30 left and made the comment to Todd to my right that my guess may come right!

Congrats to the Lady Bulldogs on the victory and good luck in the regional.

Congrats to the Ironladies on another outstanding season and a great 4-year career for the 6 seniors.

One thing is for certain - it was a darn good basketball game between two great teams! Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose - that's just sports.
