Don't take this the wrong way.I hope the the Lady Chiefs win every ballgame they play. But from my observation they have some very serious problems.Absolutely no post play so far.Which I understand from the Frasure girl not playing. But she will not add that needed offense they are so desperately lack.Very poor guard play so far.The bright spot being the Simons girl. Why they have the one freshmen girl on the varsity is beyond me.Must be a favor to someone.I lok for the girls to be .500 at best.I hope I am totally wrong and hope the girls win the SEOAL and some tourney games.Oh! and by the way.Why can't the coaches get more girls out for basketball and keep them.It seems like they have run off at least two players so far.Maybe the school administrators should look into this. But they won't.Oh well.Good Luck Lady Chiefs.

Actually bobcat, There are 2 freshmen on varsity. These 2 freshmen have played at least 100 games a year since 3rd grade, at a competitive level well above any local biddy ball program. Usually playing against teams one or 2 years older. These 2 freshmen are ready to contribute. While I am not a great fan of Walsh, he did win coach of the year last year, I would think the administration would be very pleased. The Lady Chiefs program has benefitted for years from the girls that have worked hard 10 months a year. All the Stars in the program since walsh took over came through programs such as Teamohio. Sounds like sour grapes to me. If you don't like it, why dont you apply.

Ummmm they've played ONE game! And I agree with TO, sounds to me like sour grapes.

After observing the starters and the player rotation in the girls first game you knew this "don't get me wrong" but!!!! would make an appearance. Players are made in the summer. Best players play. I think Walsh has always taken this tact. Freshman guards have started for Logan in the past. One game. Give it a break. Losing 4 senior starters from last years league champion will require a lot of ground to make up.bobcat43138 wrote:Don't take this the wrong way.I hope the the Lady Chiefs win every ballgame they play.

Logan's coach does an excellent job....every time I've watched Logan he has been impressive with his decisions and adjustments.
Re: seoal 2011-12
Logan Varsity and JV win tonight versus Fairfield Union. JV played a close game and pulled it out. Varsitiy won 46 to 27 and played exceptionally well. All the players contributed to the win. FU IMO was a lot better team then Kilbourne. Next up is first league game with Chilli this coming Wednesday. Go Chiefs.

Saw where Gallia got housed by Athens and then lost to South Gallia. They beat River Valley for their first win. Could be a long season in Centenary.
Re: seoal 2011-12
Gallia has some decent freshmen. I dont know if they are contributing much at this point but they will be all right. Athens will have a very good season. They also have some very good freshmen. The freshmen classes all over se ohio are loaded with AAU kids.

Good to know. That should bode well for the future at GAHS. Thanks for the knowledge.Tall One wrote:Gallia has some decent freshmen. Gallia At Warren next Wednesday. Warren has a new coach this year that has a very different style than the last coach. First league game for both teams.
Re: seoal 2011-12
Portsmouth improved to 2-0 with a 53-47 win at Portsmouth West. Great job Lady Trojans.

Re: seoal 2011-12
Warren was without two of there top 6 players. Also foul trouble for second leading scorer.
