Jackson 55 Logan 45 Logan down 26 to 8 at end of first qtr. Came back to get within 4 in the 4th. Improving with each game. JV won big.

From an outsider's view....Walsh does a fantastic job. His team was down 37-14 a complete and utter blowout and I was thinking two things...

1. Jackson is lights out shooting....can't miss

2. The Logan girls don't seem bothered???? Their demeanor never changed...never hung their heads, never pouted, just kept playing hard. This says a lot about the type of kids playing and the coaching.

Davis and Myers were very impressive....especially Davis. Davis was everywhere and seemed like she had about 5 hands. If not a 4-19 from the line they win at Warren. 4 out of 19 isn't coaching...it's a fluke.

I've watched him against Jackson every game the past 3 years and have never been anything but impressed....

West Muskingum must play some strong teams.thought Logan would win this with WM being something like 3 and 7.

The MVL is a quality big school conference, very physical basketball and football.

There was quite a lot of pre-season hype about the Logan girls. At present they are probably close to where in reality they should be. They pushed Warren and Jackson in there first go around and the next meetings will define any progression in their game. They have not found their shooting touch as yet. Good shooters keep shooting and this does not seem to be the issue. IN any event good luck Ladies.

The Portsmouth game was a tale of two halves. Went to full "playground" game in second half. More overall talent and composure for Logan. 25 made FT sure helped but 2 of 15 threes was a downer. Playing at Alexander today ,as always ,what team will showup?

Logan JV and Varsity both lose tonight to Lancaster. Logan Varsity 30 Lancaster 44. Got it down to 6 several times but could not get over the hump. Fouls at the end added to score. No lack of effort for the Logan girls but not a well played game overall. Play at GAllia this Saturday.

Logan JV wins at Gallia. Logan Varsity loses 51 GAllia 44. Logan 15 of 61 shooting Gallia 15 of 30..Give credit to GAllia they played a really good, smart game.

Logan Lady Chiefs remaining schedule looks to be pretty formidable. Warren, at Jackson, at Fairfield Union, at Athens all with very good records. Logan now at 6 and 8 and could finish the regular season around 9 and 12. In any event a .500 season is doubtful. Vinton County, Unioto will be good games with even Portsmouth in the mix. IMO this season sets the ladies up for next year. The girls are still capable of making some noise with some big wins this year.
