As for these girls, they are tough expect a deep playoff run this year, they start 3 freshman a sophomore and a junior, the starting pg at the beginning of the year is out for the season but she’s also only a sophomore! Gonna be the team to beat in SE Ohio for the next 2-3 years! Go Vikings!
Oh, I’m sorry, I guess Warren doesn’t have a basketball dynasty. How many trips does Combs have? Warren? Keep telling yourself!
How many trips does Combs have to where? McArthur? Probably thousands. Lol

Columbus! Let’s face it a poster saying that some day a Warren fan being told they are jealous of Vinton County’s program is a joke. And that is in NO WAY a slap at Combs, because he’s top shelf with a top shelf program, but really? big Bad Blue has had plenty of its own success.

11am Ironton Shootout vs Ashland could be a good test for VC, Ashland has a couple of good guards and if the Freshmen Forward is back will give Ashland some inside scoring.

Couldn’t stop the inside game of Ashland. VC got down by 20 really quickly but battled in the second half. Didn’t shoot very well from behind the arc either. Tough loss but hopefully they learn from it and continue this great season!

16-1

Top to bottom...might be THE top two programs in the SE district. I’d put Logan Elm and maybe Logan in there. Fairland not far from joining the ranks.

I’m not sure to be honest. I watched most of it on Facebook live. It was hard to see numbers. Lol

Nothing to be ashamed about in losing a game, mayby take a little pressure off in trying to remain undefeated. You have a very young team, and have had a great season. TVC Champs, now go back to work and have a good tournament run.

Right now everyone wants to be the team to beat VC, but in the next 2-3 years no one wants to be the team to play VC. Very young team with a lot of talent.

Vinton was missing 1 starter (Zinn) and Ashland was missing 2 starters (Mikayla Martin and Fulton) in today's contest.

Vinton county was missing Zinn and Young Ousley also another player had sat out for a unknown reason. They fought hard and at the end of the day it is about the team that hit the most shots and Ashland had accomplished that.

Not making excuses, the Ashland team is very good. They are a DI school with an boys and girls enrollment of over 1,000, twice as much as Vinton County. It would have been a tough test for the Lady Vikings with Cameron Zinn and sixth man Rylee Ousley. Also, in fairness, we were missing another starter, Mirah Davis, torn ACL from the third game, Senior Kendall Fee with a fracture ankle, and Senior Jazy Sharp was dealing with a personal issue. We were truly undermanned against a formidable opponents as the Kittens. (Great nickname!). Time to move on and get ready for the second season.

The Vikings take on River Valley, for a third time this year, on Saturday @ Wellston night school. A sectional Championship is on the line this time after RV beat Jackson in their first tournament game. Tip is slated for 1:00 pm and the game should be broadcast on 98.7 fm.

Vinton has had a great season. They have great kids. As I stated a month ago the schedule needs to be more challenging to help them to be ready for tourney.

Dundas and some Pickerington guy took it as a slight yo the girls. Not at all. They do not make out the schedule. Someone has to help the girls prepare for tough games.

Honestly winning the TVC was a given.

Better luck next year.
