lady oaks 08-09?

My wife told me I can't think about basketball for two months

The young Hale girl looks to be about 5'8....how big is the Caudill girl? Will the Butler girl be good enough to play a lot of varsity?

both maybe a little taller. They stand up pretty close to me and I am 6 ft.

They can all have considerable time if they work hard this summer and season. They can be special. This years seniors did a wonderful job of showing the underclassmen how to be leaders. With such a young team that is exactly what they needed. Now the next group of seniors must step up.

I agree MOF about half way through the season it seemed that Adkins had already assumed the role of a leader and you have her for two more years to go with Strite and Burton with a year under their belt. with Caudill and Hale coming up and Humphreys will continue to improve all of this along with alot of role players Oak Hill will suddenly have some much needed depth at almost every position!

and Butler

the girls and boys teams at oak hill will both be TUFF next year.!

It sounds like the lady Oaks will have a lot of talent coming for awhile Is the Hale girl a daughter of their coach If so that is a plus for her and them I'm sure they are making plans for next year already.Where are the shoot outs planned for this summer Are they local or away from here.what is the procedure for those Is a team invited or do you pay to play and anyone can participate

I agree with Crazee and Qualified, the Oaks will be highly successful in the next few years. And I'll go on record as saying they will be in the final four in the next two years along with Coach Persin's boys. And I'll be there dressed in black watching history being made. Go Oaks!!

If you know Coach Hale and Coach Persin like I think you do, you know that will happen.

I think I do.

I know both coaches will MAKE them work hard..I played for Doug and my brother plays for Norm..and both coaches know how to get the best out of their players!

with all the talk on the vinton county thread it seems oak hill will have at least one new face next year does anyone know who will be on the lady oaks roster i know some kids may not play for whatever reason but this is the list i have so far from my oak hill source

im sure i dont have all the names so please dont go crazy cause i left someone out
but would love to have a more updated list and where they play aau ball so i can keep up on them this summer

Freshman: Lakin Caudill, Bre butler, taylor hale, mel bentley, jessica taylor

Lakin Caudill I think is on a thunder team and I'm really unsure of any of the other players

How is Doug Hale going to find playing time for this team?

in oak hill its all about winning as long as the team wins im sure it will all work out
depth is what most teams from around here lack when it gets late in the tournament and as long as everyone stays healthy i see him working those problems out by march
