Re: Federal Hocking @ Trimble
I believe that Singer got into foul trouble fairly early in game. She had three fouls called on her in the first half. In the third period she was called for her fourth. About three minutes into the fourth period she got her fifth. Tabler had about the same situation on her. They called Singer's 5th foul and nine seconds later they called Tabler's 5th foul. It wasn't too long after that they called Putnam with her 5th foul. So yes when you have 3 out of the 5 starters foul out with around five minutes to go in the game then that is the result that you get. The game was even up until that point.
I have seen some fairly poor games called this year. I would like to see some of refs understand the rule they play in a game and take it seriously.
When you can hear a player smack another player on the other side of the gym and no call is made, that is not right. This happened twice during this game. When you have players travel and no call is made, that is not right. When the Trimble coach complains about being cheated on his home court at half time and then the second half the calls were made the way they were, then something is not right. I saw the Trimble AD go in the direction of the refs after the Trimble coach complained to him at half time. At that point in the game the calls were being called fairly close, but after that no. If that is how they can win, then I guess that is the way it is.
There are four places that I hate to go to and watch a game. Trimble, Miller, Southern, and Wellston. I am sure there are other people out there who know what I mean. I would much rather be beaten by Waterford and Eastern then go to these places to play.
