The Alexander Lady Spartan Basketball Team will host a Chinese auction during preview games at Alexander High School on Friday, November 21. There will be many items in the auction! We will have a Longaberger basket (2008 Wrap It Up Christmas Basket but Lid not included) and a Middleton doll to raffle off. We will also have a bake sale. All proceeds will help the team with the expenses to travel to Juneau, Alaska to participate in the Capital City Classic holiday tournament.
Everyone is welcome! If you choose only to attend the auction, you can do that. The auction will be in the middle school gym (next to the high school gym where the games are being played). However, you must have an admission ticket stub to enter the gym to watch the preview games.
Please come and support the ladies and help them with the expenses of this once-in-a-lifetime experience!!

A "Chinese" auction is an auction where there are a number of items on display -- different kinds of items, gift certificates, etc. -- and you buy a certain # of tickets at a certain price and you go through and place one of your tickets in a bag next to the item that you would be interested in winning. At the end of the auction, tickets will be drawn from each bag and announced. If that ticket number matches your number, you are a winner - you win that item(s). It is bunches of fun! We will have many many items in this auction. We hope that you will come out and support us and have fun!

Just want to clarify something, you can put any amount of tickets in a bag of the item you are interest in. For instance, the envelopes of tickets will be priced 4 for $1, 20 for $5, and 45 for $10. If you see an item you really like you can put all 20 tickets in the bag of the item you want. These are really fun to go to. I promise you that there are several great items to win, for I have collected many of them myself...lol....Please come out and support that Lady Spartans raise money for their trip to Alaska. There will be raffles for a Longaberger Christmas Wrap it up basket and a Middleton Doll and those will be drawn on Dec. 18th.....We will also have 2 lottery trees we are raffling off that will hold 25 lottery tickets each....Bake sale as well. Come join the fun!!!!
