Eastern opens up against Meigs tonight, Meigs got them in the preview, any thoughts on the game?

Should be a good one.

Eastern pulled out the win 38-32 I believe, i dont know how though..They shot below 30% from the floor easily and could nto hit a layup or foul shot to save their life. Meigs answer to Easterns turnovers was a turnover for themselves, it was a good game to watch but sickening if you look at the stats

I have to say the offense looked a little rough and did turn the ball over but they hustled their butts off on deffense and pulled out a good win. They can run the floor pretty well but turned the ball over a little too much trying to get it there. They are a young team. Having only one senior and one junior on the varsity squad, the furture look bright.
Audriona Pullins had a great game. She was a good threat underneath and rebounded very well.

Good Job Coach Burdette on your first game.

A win is a win, pretty or not.

Nice team effort. Was not pretty at times but they got the job done. I think that is the first time Eastern has beat Meigs in several years. Keep working together. Good effort by all!!

NO!NO!NO! Good kid, good player, but they did it without her. Easterns defense kept wolfe,who fouled out in the 4th, to just 7 pts.

Good D. how many points did howard have?

I will say this if we don't make layups and foul shots it will be hard to win. Way to many layups missed.

I saw a determined Eastern team on the defensive end holding Wolfe down, get Meigs frustrated and they fall apart

Meigs played TERRIBLE...Eastern just made the shots they needed and played smarter...Audri Pullins and Emeri Connery played good on both sides and Beverly Maxson was a stand out on the Defensive side.

Meigs better get their crap together and play smart...Good luck to both teams.

P.s....Howard ended up with 11

It was a great combined effort of Connery, Milam, and Gillilan that held Ms. Wolfe to 7 points. I believe she is usually high scorer then Howard is next. All around good team effort, not sure I could say who was best on the defensive end. They all did their job and did it well!

Eastern's defense is going to get them far this year. Their offense needs a lot of work so it seems, but defense is going to win games for Eastern. Pullins played a very nice game and Rawson did a nice job defending Howard. And the three guards did a great job on Wolfe.

Go to a lot of meigs games...but after this one, the only girls games im going to is those of the Lady Eagles
