hawkeypierce.....Will the Unioto game get made up? I assume it will, especially this early, but non-league games depending on everyone's schedule are harder to make up as opposed to league games being mandatory.
If games have to get postponed, it is much better to do so early than later on in the season.
Jottings....Jackson at Gallia Academy was postponed. I'm surprised that, apparently, the Gallipolis area media wasn't made aware of it. No makeup date set.

Corporate has cut Gallipolis Tribune's budget (editorial) to the bone. Hard to get anything local in the paper anymore.

Jottings.....I completely disagree with you on this one. This particular issue has nothing to do with corporate cutting the Tribune's editorial staff. It has everything to do with the Gallia Academy athletic department apparently not doing its job and contacting its local media about the cancellation of a game. At least as of 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, that was the knowledge I had.
BTW....I read the Tribune on a regular basis — either see it or online. With all due respect to you Jottings, my question to you is are you reading the same sports section of theirs that I am? For a two-man sports staff, they get a TON of LOCAL information in the sports section. Those two guys deserve a pat-on-the-back for a job well done.
