Last game for the Spartans until they head to Alaska. 2nd straight game without Whitney Smith as well. Didn't need her against Wellston, and shouldn't need her in this one either. I'll take the Spartans by 25.

[color=#FF0000]Good luck Lady Spartans in this game against Athens. If you play as hard as you did on Monday against Wellston then this should be a win. It takes a team effort to win games so lets get 110% from everyone tomorrow night. Good news, Whitney has nothing torn and with a little rest should be as good as new. Wonderful news with the girls leaving Christmas morning for Alaska. Whit is an outstanding player but without her there, the other girls will pick up the pace and get a win tomorrow night. Who knows, maybe she will play tomorrow night.....you never know. GO LADY SPARTANS!!!!!!!

Probably won't need whitney Vs Athens ... They are young, inexperienced and have a hard time handling pressure.

Hopefully, Athens can beat the Spartans in volleyball next season, but I don't see a victory for the hoops team any time soon over Alexander. :(

Whit hurt her knee at the Convo on Saturday but after a couple doctor visits she is going to be fine. Nothing pulled just has some swelling in joints. She is a tough kid and will bounce back from this. After the injury on Saturday, it looked like she might be out for some time but thank goodness someone was watching over her. She will be able to play in Alaska. Tough teams up there and an experience of a lifetime....Good luck Lady Spartans tonight against Athens and in Alaska on the 27th,29th, and 30th.

Yes, it is best if you let her rest, the trip to Alaska is a long one and the teams are pretty tough. Can someone update this site from time to time to let me know how the game is going? Or does anyone know if someone out there will be webcasting this game?

Best of luck tonight, Lady Spartans !!
