was this game scheduled for tonight ? Surely some sider can clue us in on whats going on over there

This is only what Ive heard, so if its not true its not my fault. But I hear its due to a lack of players and possible resignation of the coach. But thats just hearsay

My understanding there is still a team, there were 2 girls that quit on Tuesday, I dont think it had anything to do with the outcome of Mondays game from what I have been told. Staff had some set backs to deal with game will take place at a later date. Currently there are 8 or 9 players on varsity team and there is not a JV team this season.

they wouldn't be cancelling or delaying games if there were not bad problems. MD

1 game postponed, that's all. No big problems I assure you md. All's fair in love and basketball. HAHAHAHA

Good post. Sometimes things happen, and I am not saying anything did or didn't as I am an outsider and do not know your team or Coaches. Those things are better handled in house and not speculating what we don't know. that is how a small thing sometimes grows into something bigger than it really is. I am not trying to tell any poster not to comment or posy what they want. That is their right.

This does not pertain to this blog. These days it is hard to get good people to Coach in High School in either boys or girls. With the social media watching or taping with their phones, a Coach is under even more of a microscope than ever. Sometimes it is a thankless job with all they go through.


What the reason the game was canceled, I am sure it will get worked out and the game will be played at another date. Good luck to the Burg and West. You both should be very proud of your programs in all sports.

Ya know, west should stand behind their coaches a little better!
Especially the ones who've given their all to the program!!
I'm yet to see a season where at least one parent is not upset over something!! Coaches know this from the start!! Maybe the admin people should learn that as well!!

It is a shame the crap coaches have to put up with from parents! Back in the 70'swhen I played, a parent never thought of questioning a coach. That is why we are producing a generation of rebellious kids. their parents are setting the example!

Thats why the good coaches dont stick around long its hard enough trying to teach this generation, then a parent sits at the dinner table bad mouthing a coach and puts their kid in a unwinnable situation! Coach or parent ?!!
