Since Kim Kline scores at 50% to 75% of Nelsonville's points, she has to be shut down in order for the Lady Lancers to prevail. I look for a close game the first half and the victory will go the Lady Lancers .

Lady Lancers just need to keep playing the way the have for the last couple of weeks. Sound team defense, and execute their offense, they will do fine come Monday.

Good luck Lancers
Butcher can play good defense. If she stays right on Kline, and gets in her head, it will work. If they double team Kline they better watch out for NYs other 3 pt shooters. Don't expect a lot of calls on Kline. The refs I have seen don't want to call anything on her until they are in the clear.

Congratulations to the Lady Lancers, winners

Fed Hock 63

Nelsonville 48

Fed Hock lead by 15 to 20 points from the end of the first half on. Great games by Emily Dunfee, Hannah McKibben (who shot the lights out tonight), Chanda Cuckler, and Julie Vinson. Iris was saddled with foul trouble most of the night, in one of the more lackluster officiating efforts that I've seen in a long time from the trio that showed up tonight. I've seen you guys do much better than what you did tonight, and I'll leave it at that.

Absolutely outstanding defense from Emily Dunfee. Once again, she proves that she plays harder for 32 minutes than any other girl in SE Ohio. Great game Em!

Hannah M - What was up with you tonight? That basket looked like a big old garbage can, the way that you were throwing it in there from about five feet behind the three point line. Holy cow!!!!!!

I - Tough night for you, sitting so much, which was good for NY, otherwise, this one could have been much worse.

CC and Julie - Way to play hard for 32 minutes, and overcome some obvious inequities in terms of the officiating. You both played hard, didn't get frustrated, and got the caroms when you had to.

Skinner - Way to step up. Those were a huge five points that you threw down in the second quarter. Nice job!!!

Kelli Cox - Absolutely stellar game for NY. Dad, I am sure, is proud of how you played tonight. You shot the lights out as well.

Kim Kline - Played hard the entire game, and did some damage in the 4th quarter. You are a great player, and it has been fun to watch you.

Great game to enjoy tonight. Congrats Lady Lancers on another big win. Way to "light it up" with 40 points in the first half!!!!!!

My prediction was not totally right. The game was not close in the first half at all . Awesome defense by all the Lady Lancers, especially Emily D. for playing such great D on Kim Kline. Keep it going Lady Lancers!!

Good job lady Lancers. looks like the cream comes from the Hocking this year.
You Ohio division schools at least know you are losing to good teams, Federal Hocking & Waterford will go a long way on the tourament trail this year.

PT -
After tonight's game, it is hard to argue that the Ohio Division is better than the Hocking. Head-to-Head prevails, and well, I guess there really is not an argument about that now..............

As much as our Ohio friends like to admit it...........

How many did Kline end up with? I thought Nelsonville would be a little better then they are this year.

Was the TV station there last night? I haven't seen this game on channel 15 or the Trimble game last night. The Athens game is on now.

Yes, Nelsonville cable was there covering the game. And Kline ended up with 17 points, 11 in the 4th quarter.
