Eastern won by around 12. Pretty good game overall.

This was a close game through three quarters. North Adams cut Eastern's lead to three with a put back basket at the buzzer to end the third and appeared to provide the Lady Devils the spark they needed. However, Eastern came out to the start the fourth with a 10-0 run that put the game away for the Lady Warriors.

Great effort by both teams. North Adams just couldn't get shots to fall when they needed them. The Lady Devils were 4-23 from the field in the second half. Eastern shot 53% for the game as compared to North Adams' 30%.

North Adams will look to bounce back Thursday night at home against Manchester.

Hopefully North Adams cuts down on the turnovers. Turnovers and shot selection can be improved on.

Turnovers were not as much of an issue as you think. They only had 17 on the night. 15 or less is a very good number to have in the turnover department. So they weren't off that number too much. I agree that shot selection is an issue at times. Like socfan said, hopefully they can get it turned around against Manchester on Thursday because they got another big game on Saturday against Ripley.

Seemed like there were more than 17 turnovers but I wasn't counting. They had some problems early with the big girls from Eastern but seemed to do a better job as the game went on. They should be able to get back on track against Manchester. I haven't seen Ripley play yet so I'm anxious to see how good they are. Personally I think Eastern was vastly better last night than the first game and I'm happy with a season split with them. If NA can at least split with Lynchburg then I think they will be in good shape.

It is always nice to have great size inside, but now you add in a point guard in Clifton who doesn't make mistakes very often and it makes Eastern that much tougher.

FYI, the 17 turnovers were reported by the Eastern statisticians. So, take it as you will. Not sure how accurate that was.

I agree a split is just fine and a split with Lynchburg would be fine as well. But I am greedy, let's win them both! Ripley will be a challenge as well. They are physical and crash the boards extremely well. They have been struggling shooting the ball lately according to a source of mine. Saturday should be a good one to watch as well.

Go Lady Devils!!!

I'm thinking 17 turnovers won't cut it against the good ball clubs.

Eastern got back in the hunt with that win but I think at this point the 2 games between North Adams and Lynchburg may well determine the SHL title. I'm greedy too and hope NA wins both, they are capable of doing it but Lynchburg is a good team. I'm sure Coach Davis will have them working on reducing the turnovers and getting some higher percentage shots. They are a young team and will only get better.

17 turnovers is not terrible, but it could be better. Obviously, the less the better, but statistically if you average 15 or fewer a game you are doing real well. Very good teams shoot for that 15 or fewer mark. Of course if you do not have a good defense then you want to strive even harder for fewer than 15.

They forced Eastern into 21 turnovers that night.
