GAHS Blue Angels top Meigs-Eastern 54-31 for 10th win

Host Gallipolis Gallia Academy defeated Meigs-Eastern, 54-31, in a non-league hardwood battle in the GAHS gym Monday evening.
The win improved the Blue Angels record to 10-6 overall. Gallipolis is 3-6 in South Division play in the Southeastern Ohio Athletic League. The Angels will host Ironton Wednesday and Logan Saturday before next week’s Day of Champions game.
Eastern’s Lady Eagles fell to 6-9 on the season.
Gallipolis led 15-7, 31-16 and 37-27 at the quartermarks.
Allie Troester paced the Gallians with 18 points. Amy Noe added 14. Emeri Connery paced the Eagles with 12 markers.
Gallipolis won the reserve game to improve to 14-2 on the season.
The Little Angels led 7-5, 21-13 and 38-26 at the quartermarks.
C. Johnson led GAHS with 15 points. H. Ward added eight. B. Hotrod had 14 for Eastern.
