Meigs played well at Larry R Morrison tonight. Meigs defeated the Lady Vikings of Vinton County 65-45 on Monday Night in Pomeroy.

Meigs improves to 8-7 on the year , after falling to VC earlier in the year.

When Meigs plays well , there tough to beat ! Meigs senior guard Catie Wolfe scored 21 points , but the impressive play tonight was sophomoe Morgan Howard , who scored 17 points and a school record 20 rebounds ! What a stat line !!!!

Meigs held 20ppg scorer Tori Dixon to just 2 points on the evening , Meigs guard Tricia Smith is by far the top defensive player in the VC Ohio holind Dixon and Kline of Nelsonville to a low total as well.

Meigs will play VC the first game of the sectional tournament @ Alexander is just a few weeks.

Not disputing Smith's defensive prowess but Kline did score 18 in the first meeting while dealing with a box and 1 defense designed to only stop her. 18 is 1 of 3 games this year she hasn't scored at least 20. In those games she scored 16, 18 and 18. Meigs does play very well at times usually, like most teams, at home. They are very well coached and have a fine 4 year starting guard in Catie Wolfe.
