Final score: Vinton County 70, Belpre 67.....VC coach called me about midnight with the information.
VC led 23-11 after one, but Belpre came back to tie it at 30-30 at halftime. Belpre won the 2nd stanza 19-7 before VC scored 23 again in the third to Belpre's 21.
Teams traded baskets in fourth with VC hovering around 5-point lead in the fourth.
VC's Tori Dixon 30 points, 6 threes, 8-8 FT for the game including 6-of-6 FT in fourth. 6 assists.
VC's Brittany Stewart, playing sick, had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals.
Allison Graves had 13 points for VC including 3-of-4 FT in fourth.
Regina Leftwich led Belpre with 19 and Brandi Fitch had 17.
Kelsey Crislip had 10 points for Belpre including both of the team's threes.
Belpre was 13-of-24 at the line and VC 17-of-25.
