With all the talk about recruiting, should Private schools that can recruit have their own statewide touneys?

Put me down for a yes. 4 divisions with all the parochial / private schools in 1 division, with 3 divisions for the public schools.

Technically, recruiting is frowned upon but open enrollment makes it possible in public schools. With that being said, the private schools have all recruited teams. Is it fair for them to get to play against most teams that do not recruit?

OMG is this the pot calling the kettle black? between OH and Alex nobody has benefitted more than these two schools. Open enrollment - recruiting whatever you want to call it. It is all the same so everyone should compete with each other.

Sour grapes?????????????? Should Oak Hill and Albany be penalized because they have great programs and kids want to move into the districts to play?

You answered your beginning question. Why should private schools be penalized for getting girls into their program? Until the state steps in and changes the open enrollment policy again there is nothing anyone can do.
Oak Hill has a great team that are benefitting from transfers. However they have been a great team for a long time now. If it was your school then you would be all for it.

Don't you think you are stretching it a bit comparing move ins to those who go to private school?

Move into?????????? all of our girls LIVE in the Oak Hill school District.

you reeeeaalllly shouldnt have started this thread.... just asking for it.

maybe we should have all private schools in one division, another division for public schools that have the benefit of open enrollment students that MOVE into their district and then all others divided into two divisions 8) 8) 8)

Maybe the 2 winners could play for the ULTIMATE championship.

As for starting this thread, I know where we stand and I am just trying to have a healthy discussion. Wouldn't be mucH of a discussion if everyone agreed. i THINK WE CAN STILL SPEAK OUR MINDS OR HAS SOCIALISM REALLY TAKEN OVER. LOL LOL

"Move into?????????? all of our girls LIVE in the Oak Hill school District."

Not completely honest....may be following the rules, but at least 2 were open enrolled and parents still live in the VC school district where the Oak players siblings attend. As I have said before, nothing wrong with what they chose to do, but dont state things as fact that are not true.

Almost forgot the topic......leave things as they are. Dont need a different division, just play ball.

The players recruited to play at private schools, are their tuition paid for? How does that play out. Transfers; some go to, some come from. It is what it is.
