Re: Portsmouth Clay/Leesburg Fairfield Tourney Game
I've seen both teams play and I like Clay in a close one. They have a more well-rounded team I think. Fairfield always seems to start slow for some reason and in a tournament game like this it will hurt. Fairfield has a couple of big, solid post players but their guards are not quite as good as Clay's. Should be a good game.

Congrats Lady Panthers! Sectional Champions! Good Luck at District in Jackson!
The Leesburg Fairfield Lions spurted to a 14-0 lead before Clay got on the board with a free throw at the 1:40 mark of the first quarter. First quarter ends, Lions 14-1. In the second, the Panthers come back to pull within seven at 20-13. Clay kept chipping away at the lead and finally took the lead at the 1:35 mark and held on to lead after 3 at 28-26. The Panthers never looked back and continued to play well in the final quarter to win by the final 48-39.
Holly Hempill played a fine all around game for the Panthers! Good Job!
