I think Lynchburg's physical defense and strong inside game will be too much for Zane Trace to handle.
Lynchburg by 15.

Good Luck to the ZT girls in this one.
The Lady Pioneers have no seniors this year. They are currently 14-7.

Halftime score was 10-7 Zane Trace. Lynchburg had the lead late but couldn't hang on. Too many turnovers late and missed box-outs on foul shots ended the season for the Lady Mustangs.

I just got back from this game.
It was a very physical game on both sides with very good defense being played.
Lynchburg was up 22-18 with about four minutes left.
ZT outscored them 9-1 to end it.
Zane Trace moves to 15-7 and they are headed to the District title game.

The majority voters missed this one.
Slamdunk: The mustangs only scored 23 points, imagine them winning by 15.
Congrats to the Lady Pioneers and Coach Dunkle.
A couple comments, would like others thoughts:
I watched both games on Sat. @ Waverly in district girls. I was very disappointed with the officiating in both games. The officiating allowed the players to play entirely out of control & fortunate that players weren't seriously injured. I would have like to seen the results of the game had the officials called things tighter. I think the district has to look at the way girls and boys games are scheduled the times, WHILE WE HAVE SOME VERY GOOD OFFICIALS IN SE OHIO, WE DON"T HAVE THAT MANY THAT WE CAN HAVE TOP QUALITY FOR ALL GAMES LIKE SAT. & that is a shame at the district level. others thoughts?

old-timer,
You are right when they only scored 23 it would be very difficult to win by 15. My prediction was based on the fact that Lynchburg has had a terrific defense all year. They also had a great inside game all year as well. The Mustangs just could not get anything going on the offensive end Saturday.
I also agree with the poor officiating. Especially in this game! As I stated in another thread, officials call fewer fouls in the tournament to keep the game moving to keep things on schedule. This is ridiculous to me! If they are going to call it this way in tournament, they need to call it this way during the season so players can get used to it. The bad thing was though that there were some tackles in this game that weren't called. My theory is that if the foul did not cause the team to lose the ball then don't call it if you are trying to speed up the game. But if the foul caused a turnover then it MUST be called PERIOD!!! It was not called this way in this game for either side!
