just checked the ohsaa website. these four d1 teams dont play until tomorrow and then turn around and play a state championship game the next day. whats up with that?

Since they went to 4 divisions, D-1 has always been Friday night-Saturday night. The other three divisions rotate when they play the semis and finals.

For some in WV, it's 1/4s on Thursday, semis on Friday and finals on Saturday.

Cincinnati Mt Notre Dame won [for the 4th straight time], but it was a strange game. At halftime CMND was up by 10-12 pts so I was switching back and forth between TV channels covering this game and the NCAA men's tournament games, but I was paying more attention to the NCAA games.
Then when I finally switched back to the OHSAA game it was into the 4th qtr but the score had hardly changed from halftime - Toledo Start had closed the gap a little, but CMND had scored only 4 more points! Wierd! I then kept watching that game - CMND hung on to win what proved in the end to be a pretty tight, close game against Toledo Start to claim their 4th straight Div I Championship.

seems like they always find a way to win. i was at last years game when they drove the length of the court with 5 seconds left for a game winning shot. we had just watched chillicothe do the same thing a few nights earlier. it was like deja vu.

Wow, how amazing for this CMND team to win 4 straight state championships.....
