Meigs and Athens used to be in the larger SEOAL and elected to go to what they knew was an easier league to compete in and probably the perceived notion that they could dominate in most sports but Meigs has slipped into the middle of the pack in the last 25 years since they switched and Athens will be in the same boat shortly in most sports. If Jackson, even though they have great facilities and so forth want to attempt this same thing and get out of the SEOAL , then so be it but don't expect the original TVC schools to accept this anytime in the near future because they don't want too many ex-SEOAL schools with the old "big boy" or "city" syndrome labels invading their space.
