Re: Marietta
Teach-That article you posted doesn't say he resigned or was fired. It does say he was non renewed by Principal and AD and was to meet with Board President to discuss the recommendation. I guess we will find out what is going on at the April 27 Board meeting and that is if the Times covers it.

Re: Marietta
I think its such a shame that the parents think they can run the show at Marietta!! All they want to do is please themsleves and not even consider the players feelings. I also think that the AD and Principal should be disgusted with themsleves when they sat at the final tournment game for Marietta, and watched the parents look like imature children screeming at the coach. Saying "my daughter is a senior she should be in the game playing right now," or "your such and idiot." To me that just shows how toxic the Marietta parents are!!

John Doughty will be teaching at Phillips next year and won't be getting out of school till after practice would be well under way so how could he be a coach, after the parents ran the last coach off for not spending enough time with the program.

I am not a candidate for this job. I have a strong desire to finish my Master's Degree. That is what I will be doing. I have complete confidence in Rick Guimond and Mike Elliott. They will get the right person. Good luck to the "Lady Tigers" this season!!!!

Still does not explain how JD would make it to practice in time. Anyone have an answer to this problem.

Re: Marietta
What he is trying to say is that both teams should get equal time with after school practices....Boys teams don't run the show.
Re: Marietta
Thanks tiger pride, I have never heard of a school that one team practice first then the other. Most schools were the boys and girls share same practice gym will go boys first one week then girls go first the next week. To have the boys first every day seems wrong to me. If I had a girl on the team I would be upset.
