Any thoughts on this one? Two teams with some very good players on the inside.

It will be the third consecutive postseason that Reedsville Eastern and Leesburg Fairfield will meet in a Division IV district semifinal.

Fairfield won a 13-inning decision during softball season, 1-0. Eastern won a straight game decision (3-0) in volleyball this past fall.

If they don't come ready to play for 4 quartes from here on out, then yes they will have a problem.

This gives the stats for Fairfield. Riddle is tough to handle in the post and Fairfield has players who can knock down 3's. You have to come ready to box out and secure rebounds when playing Fairfield.

I've noticed that with Eastern this year, they don't start playing until they have to..and in the tournament that may be to late

From what I've been reading about Fairfield, they have a very good post player and a decent supporting cast. But I know that the Eastern Lady Eagles should come out on top, in a not so close game. Good luck Lady Eagles and Coach Burdette!!!!!! Go show how good you are and the strength of the TVC!

1:02 in first half: Eastern up 2! came back from 12 down earl in 2! 16 - 6 run for the lady eagles!

28-26 Lady Iggles lead at the half. Coach Burdette is keeping the pressure on and rotating his players. Fairfield sounds like they are out of gas, and the game is half over. Kasey has been blocking shots right and left for the Iggles.

Eastern needs to keep the pressure up and run the ball up the floor. That is what furned the 2nd quarter in their favor.......

End of the third. Lady Iggles need to stop with the turnovers and get back on defense. Seems like Fairfield has caught their second wind.

Great job for the eagles, it was a good TEAM victory tonight, from my perspective (for what that is worth, LOL)

Fairfield gave Eastern all they wanted but a lack of depth eventually caught up to the Lady Lions. Riddle, Bowman, and Boone all played like they had to and stepped up and performed. Fairfield loses three seniors, but still have Riddle and Sword back to form a good nucleus for next year. Great year ladies, Sectional Champs!

Good job ladies and every victory at this stage is outstanding! From listening to the radio broadcast and if the scoring was based on performance in each quarter then this game would have had to go into the tie-breaker. The game would have been a ho-hummer if all four Qtrs.were like 2 or 4.
