What teams will be in the running for the top seeds at each location?
Alexander: Athens, Gallia, Fairfield Union, Marietta, Meigs, New Lex, Sheridan, South Point, Vinton, Warren
Adena: Circleville, Hillsboro, Jackson, Logan Elm, McClain, Miami Trace, Unioto, Washington CH, Waverly

For the Adena side I would say Miami Trace is a shoe in for the #1 seed.
For the Alexander I would think its between Marietta and South Point for the #1 seed.

Alexander- Its going to be a close vote between Marietta and South Point. I'll say that Marietta gets the 1, as SP will not have any league support.
Adena- Miami Trace is unbeaten and will get the 1. The 2 will probably be between Jackson and Unioto, with McClain being the tough luck choice in the 4 after the tough loss to Unioto tonight.

Jackson is 14-4.....but have lost to 15-2 Marietta twice...leading both games very late in the game including being up by 2 with 1 second left before losing on a heartbreaking 3 pointer.....and their other 2 losses were to 14-2 Logan....and again led very late in both games including having the lead with the ball in the air on the final buzzer for a banked in 25 footer for another insanely heartbreaking loss.
The difference between Jackson/Marietta and Jackson/Logan could not be any smaller.....and all 4 games have proven that. Had Jackson not had one of the heartbreakers they could argue the #1 seed....now they are hoping the the #2....but #3 will hopefully get the same result.

Logan actually 14-2. Seeding will get you so far but you still need to win. Jackson will do good IMO in the tourney. The two freshman will need good play from their upperclassmen and with a years experience in the books will go far especially with the tough games they have played.

Ironman- Those sound like horrible losses to take, especially being that close to being unbeaten.
Unioto is 15-3. Loss @Cincinnati Indian Hill(#1 in D2) and then back to back losses on the road after losing Mackenzie Arledge(Morehead State and 3-time All SVC), by 4 @ Zane Trace(15-4) and by 6 @ Logan Elm. They haven''t lost yet in 2011.
There are 5 very good ballclubs in this sectional, so it's not a big difference between getting the 2 or the 3. Either way, looks like it will be a great game if these two meet up in the Sectional Finals.

The difference between the #2 and #3 seed might make a little difference. The #3 will likely either play Logan Elm or Washington CH, which neither of those are exactly an easy match-up. #2 might get a game against Circleville. I'm not exactly sure of Circleville's record but i think its in the 7 seed range. Either way, you have to find a way to win in the tourney regardless of the opponent!
I would think that McClain would get the 4 seed, and that the #5 would go to Logan Elm. Granted I'm basing that off the incomplete records on maxpreps.
My prediction for the first round match-ups:
#1 MT vs. winner of Hillsboro/Waverly
#2 Unioto/Jackson vs. #7 Circleville
#3 Jackson/Unioto vs. #6 Washington Ch
#4 McClain vs. #5 Logan Elm

If there are five ballclubs that are clearly above the rest and pretty well even, then being seeded #2 or #3 shouldn't matter much, unless there are shennanigans and one of those five gets unfairly dropped down to #6!

It'll be tough to drop LE below #5. They have a better record than WCH and have a win over Unioto, but, weirder things have happened and the SCOL has a strong hold on how the voting will be done.

So I'll assume Miami Trace #1, Unioto #2, Greenfield #4, Logan Elm #5

I would say that is right. With Circleville 7th. Hillsboro and Waverly in the play-in game.

I keep a different type of schedule/bracket on trivalleyconference.com - and would like to stay up-to-date on ALL the teams' regular season results so we know what each teams' actual record is heading into the tourney.

Use this thread - or the Divisional records sticky thread - to keep me posted on how your team does down the stretch.
