They did not just win at the buzzer. They won with a backwards shot at the buzzer.

ZT held for the last shot for the final 1:27 with the score 43-43. After a timeout out with 12 seconds left, they did not get the shot they wanted, so they had to fling a three pointer toward the hoop. Sierra Sigman snuck in between two Peebles girls and caught the airball. She flipped it up reverse style and banked it in at the the buzzer.

The Lady Pioneers led 23-11 at the half, but Peebles came to life in second half. Their press hurt ZT, but the girls hung in there and advance.

Zane Trace (17-5) will take on Oak Hill for the District title.
