3key players are Fogt billing and frohne . I felt they were the best team coming out of the southwest last year and just got beat in regionals so they are hungry. Oak hill will have to Play their A game to win but they will rest easy knowing that they are no Regina. Still very good though. They like to get up and down the floor but as far as I can tell as long as I have been watching them they don't have one outstanding ballhandler

IMO:
My predictions: Oak Hill 54 Anna 51 (If OH plays slower, takes less 3's)
Anna 61 Oak Hill 48 (If OH tries to run and shoots as many 3's as yesterday).

Best of Luck to the Lady Oaks!

As for the shooting of the threes....the first time the Lady Oaks made it to the Schott they trounced Smithville....and it all was started by hitting 7 or 8 threes in the FIRST QUARTER. I am sure Coach Hale will cut off the 3's if they aren't getting it done...but I imagine they are going to stick to their game plan as long as possible.

All i'm saying is that if they come out and get behind like they did yesterday by shooting multiple 3's, Anna will beat them convincingly IMO. Elyria Catholic hadn't played a top 10 team all year and it showed in the 2nd half. Oak Hill came back from double digits a lot during this tournament but it won't happen if they get down that far today. Good luck Lady Oaks !!!!!

will this be on the radio in the oak hill area anywhere? I'll be heading that way during the game for the Peake/Portsmouth boys game and would like to listen.

Good Luck Lady Oaks! bring the title to southern Ohio!

Real good strategy today. Try to keep shooting the 3's (and missing) and then trying to press a team to allow them to make layup after layup after layup.

Anyhow, the better team did win. I actually was surprised Oak Hill could keep it that close.

I've said the same thing the last 2 days, 5-28 from 3 point land won't get it in any type game.

Live by the 3, die by the 3.

The only reason Oak Hill kept it as close as they did was because Anna was horrible at rebounding and Oak Hill kept getting 2nd and 3rd chances.

They stuck to the game plan too long today and almost too long yesterday. As riverbball stated earlier, you can't shoot and miss 3's everytime down the court then press full court on defense. That's suicide with a good team. In the regular season many, many teams can be beat by 30-40 points this way but not at the regional and state level.

What would be your strategy? Does anyone know what those players can do better than Hale? Anna was far longer and contested nearly everything.....when Oak Hill did penetrate many shots were blocked away before getting off the hand of the shooter.

It was 27-26 and Hale had a shot roll in and out of the basket, then had a ft do the same thing and then Butler had a 3 go all the way in and back out....from there Anna slowly pulled away.

Obviously 5-28 is not going to cut it......they might be able to do that from half court.....but I don't think Oak Hill had the players today to matchup at all with Anna.....too many 5'4's versus too many 5'8's. 5-28 from 3 point land but how many uncontested closer shots did they get/make?

Anna couldn't rebound? Really, I haven't seen a stat of rebounding.....but it appeared to me like Oak HIll couldn't rebound much of the game.

The better team won the state championship....I see no reason to question the Hale and take away anything from what Oak Hill accomplished.

Oak Hill got 12 offensive rebounds. That is a heck of a lot of offensive rebounds to give up.

Anna was the better team, no doubt. Obviously state runner-up is a great accomplishment and something to be proud of, but I am sure it is still disappointing for the 2nd time in 3 years.

I didn't care who won that game at all but I think it needs to be said, that was the WORST officiated game, boys or girls, I've ever watched at the state-tournament level. It was nothing less than a rugby scrum for all 32 minutes. Not saying it had a bearing on the outcome--Oak Hill was clearly over-matched--but that is NOT how basketball is supposed to be played and officiated, especially this late in a tournament. Putrid performance by the Zebras.

I certainly agree with that statement. Poor officiating to say the very least.

The game was very "helter skelter". The officiating did not help the matter.
