kind of question the Notre Dame or Eastern Pike selection over Reedsville Eastern and Waterford?

seems like I just watched Reedsville Eastern beat Notre Dame last year in the tourney 51-21.
the other southern Ohio team in the district semi-finals was Clay - and Waterford beat them 64-37.

the year before: Eastern beat the No. 1 seed Clay 64-26 and Waterford beat Notre Dame 69-43 ... both district semi-final games.

seeing as both Eastern and Waterford are just as good this year - I would probably put them in that top 10 somewhere.

:)

Eastern pike got hammered by Northwest . Eastern has already lost to ND at home ..... they cant be included in the conversation.. cant see ND in the conversation either .. having a good year so far but Eastern is the only decent team we ( ND) have played so far . We have Valley coming up , that will be a good matchup to see where we stand ..Not happy to say so but no SOC1 team , at this point, deserves that kind of talk.. ND struggled with Clay , who lost to So Webster by 40 .

I havn't seen these teams - but track their records ... are they in the conversation.

Chesapeake (7-2)
Fairland (5-0)
Coal Grove (6-2)
Valley (6-3)

* and since Fairfield Union (8-1) is in our district, wouldn't you have to put them in?
* and Nelsonville-York (8-2) is quietly having a nice season ... I believe Liberty Union was undefeated and NY just knocked em off at the Yule Classic.

Yeah....FU needs to be top 7 somewhere, but I know nothing about them.

Fort Frye isn't in our district. Fayetteville isn't in our district but they are Eastern Meigs good and in the SHL (SHAC) Ripley is also very good.

You guys are underestimating Fairland, in my opinion.

I92, i didn't know about FF or F-P. I knew they played teams in the SE. Plus i don't know much about most of the D3 or D4 teams except for what i read on here and the ones that are covered in Fayette, Highland and Ross counties

Maybe...but we don't know anything about those teams. They all play each other and then play teams from Kentucky or West Virginia.

It's early still. Several team's are in Fairland's boat. I know Ironton and Fairland are very good....but I don't know how good the teams they beat are. Many teams on the outskirt of the SE district border often play teams we aren't familiar.

you'll get to see a lot of them come tourney time, I92 ... they all play in your backyard ... that D3 sectional at Jackson is massive - 14 teams in all.

Doesn't help me get a good feeling on them now though.

Eastern pike got hammered by lowly Northwest
ManitouDan

Seriously? Lowly Northwest? Before you crack on those girls understand where their 7 losses come from:

South Webster
Valley (tied at end of 3)
Oak Hill (NW was up at half time)
Minford by 2
West (tied at end of 3)
North Adams by 10
and W'Burg - tied at half

The games they've won have been by 22, 29, 37, and 16 points. To my knowledge Northwest starts 3 sophomores and 2 freshmen most of the time. I don't understand where the "lowly" remark comes from.

So yeah, I take offense at that remark made towards my daughter and her teammates.

Northwest is improved from past years. To me they are a middle of the road team in the entire district. They only beat Whiteoak by 16 and that's been their closest game of their 8 losses....but only lost by 10 to North Adams is pretty solid. NW had a few pretty good players.

Didn't The U beat Miami Trace? Yet you list MT above the U???? JOKE

And Fairland was in the District finals last year losing a close one to the State runner-up and have a signed Big10 player and you don't have them in top 15? Another JOKE

yes Unioto did beat Miami Trace but, since i was actually at the game, i felt MT was a better team than Unioto especially since the Cox girl is out for the year and MT beat Adena this year. plus i have Unioto lower because they got beat the other night by Logan Elm who is 5-5 by 10.
i haven't heard about or seen Fairland so i didn't list them. since you must be the expert about every team, i'll wait for your ranks

I don't think you can throw Eastern Pike out that fast. Are they Top 10? Probably not right now. But their close loss to ND to start the season wasnt a bad loss, not even close, considering 75% of the team had less than a week of practice due to volleyball. So, IMO, ND's small-margin win doesn't look quite impressive. Again, my opinion. When do these teams play again? And where?
