GAME IN MONDAY AT McAFEE GYMNASIUM ON THE PLAINS.

Just give me 3 referees ready for a pretty big game between two very good teams. I want to see the best of both teams go at it.

Was the game at Athens last year?

It was in Jackson last year. Can't remember the score, but I think Jackson won comfortably.

I knew bulldog would give this game its own thread. I think he's starving for some Buffalo Wild Wings, but he's NOT getting it! :122245

uh, yea, were trying to dig up the refs from the 1990 football game - to see if they can do Monday's game.

just because Jackson had 20 penalties for 186 yards that night doesn't mean the refs were cheating ... lol ... maybe they were just bad.

I92 ... Ive been to about 20-25 games all over southeastern Ohio this year (boys and girls) and havn't seen a really, really bad crew yet.

the odds are the officiating crew will be just like it always is.

Outright SEOAL championship and our first playoff berth...stolen!!!

I was only 7, so it doesn't hurt me too bad though. My cousin probably feels differently though.

We got a bad draw ... lol ... facing Luke Fickel and Columbus DeSales was just a bad match-up for us.

Back to basketball though. I'm sure it'll be tough for the Ironladies to get focused again on Monday after such an emotional win tonight. Coach Walburn will be preaching about avoiding a letdown, I'm sure. Athens and Doseck will be tough, especially at home. Jackson will have to be much more efficient on the offensive end, and get back to normal at the free throw line. Should be a great game, I would think.

I don't really care if they are not great....at least give us ok and consistent. The crew tonight IMO was just not good but they consistently called about everything...at least you can adjust to that.

If I show up and one certain crew is there....I may just turn around and drive 40 miles back home. They have an uncanny way of swaying games and really take away from the kids....look at me, look at me. The best refs you barely notice....the worst refs make sure you notice them.

I'm going to watch the girls battle...and so is every other person that will be in the bleachers.

Is this game on Mon the 7th or Tues the 8th???

I copied a schedule off of Jackson City Schools website.....it says the 8th

Athens girls vs Jackson girls - Monday Jan. 7th
Athens boys vs Warren boys - Tuesday Jan. 8th

Jackson schedule is wrong apparently. I was hoping it was on the 8th, and had been thinking it was all along until 93bulldog posted last week. Every schedule we have says the 8th, so I was definitely confused.

Have these two played anyone to compare with? I'm thinking VC but don't remember the scores.

I'm not sure noreply ... I don't have Jackson's schedule ... I think VC is a common opponent. maybe Gallia? Chillicothe?
