Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs
It's been the Waterford and Eastern Invitational the last few years. There usually are 4 teams coming out so the 4th Vs 5th seed is the game to watch. I bet it's been awhile since one of the first 3 seeds didn't make it out.

Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs
Come on. ISJ is the only AP ranked team. Surly they should be the 1 seed.
Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs
Either South Webster or Waterford are 1-2. Saint Joe beat Southern in the first game of the season by 11. Saint Joe has lost last 4 out of 5 games, but has been missing PG Hannah Miller over that stretch. She should be back for the rematch at Southern,. Hopefully the loses without Miller won't penalize them at seeding.
I don't think ISJ was ever a top ten team, but they were 9-0 and got some local AP votes.
I also think Eastern Pike has a solid team with a really good player.

I don't have a dog in this fight but enjoy this stuff---I see Waterford as the 1, SW the 2, Eastern-Meigs and Southern as the 3 and 4 depending on their head to head and league records on the draw. ISJ and Eastern-Pike fight over the 5 and 6.
Six TVC Hocking schools will be a big hurdle to overcome for ISJ and Eastern-Pike----Who's their buddies when it comes to voting? Now if Waterford beats one of the other five by 75 to 6---they could slide. hahaahahah

I guess it doesn't matter that ISJ beat both Eastern Meigs and Southern

Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs
I'm not saying it doesn't matter Dutchman---I'm saying that I wouldn't bet the house on that being the deciding factor. There have been many instances of a team being ranked above a team they lost to.
Again, I don't have any inside info or anything---I just enjoy the give and take. If the TVC votes as a block......

Though I don't like them, I do respect them, and the TVC Hocking has ran DIV for close to a decade, they still have street cred in these things.

1-2 are solid teams with #3-6 being toss ups. Any of those teams could beat the other on a givin night.GoBucks1047 wrote:My thinking currently:

Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs
Seriously, SW has beaten to ranked teams that are a bigger division then they are. They play in D3 and D2 conference and has handled everyone..only loss by 1 to Burg, who was the ranked team they beat by 14. Not knockin Waterford, but to beat 2 bigger schools, who were ranked, you got to give them credit and reward them.

SW is having a great year and yea they should be ranked but..... waterford is waterford. Would be a great game to watch.

No it wouldn't....SW and Waterford are both great and the 2 best D4 SE teams with North Adams not far back.
Saying either team is clearly the #1 is insulting to the other team. Waterford will get it if it remains this close....due to league affiliation.
