A lot of pretty good teams beating a lot of other pretty good teams and it gets confusing to keep up. What are some of the better teams in the district and their better wins, close losses?

Wheelersburg has the best start it seems with great wins over Athens, Logan and South Webster

Logan and Warren seem to be two of the better teams around.

Athens is still very good.

South Webster with a 1 point loss to Burg and a dominating win over Lynchburg

North Adams off to a good start.

Chillicothe...Miami Trace

Waterford

Western and Ironton St Joe are both undefeated I believe and look to be two of the top D4 teams.

Ironton?.....Unioto?

Who else or list some of the better wins for the teams I listed

Athens has lost to Burg by 1 and who else?

If Burg is #1 (they have the best wins)....South Webster has to be top 5 IMO

It's early but Peebles doesn't seem as good as I anticipated them being.

Hillsboro girls are really good this season. I think all 5 starters have played together on varsity since their freshman year. they are 4-1 with wins over Chillicothe (50-36) and Miami Trace (54-32) and their only loss is to Clinton-Massie by 11 but it was close until the end.

McClain is also 4-1, with 4 senior starters, with wins over Clinton-Massie (42-39) and Unioto (47-45) with their only loss to Chillicothe where they played a bad 1st half and were down 18 but had a chance to win at the buzzer and lost by 1. and they have probably the best or in the top 2 players in SEO in Shania Massie (1000+ pts career)

The SCOL will be a dogfight every night with Miami Trace, Chillicothe, McClain, Hillsboro, Clinton-Massie and maybe even Washington CH all vying for the title.

Thanks for the Hillsboro info.

Clinton Massie not what we are used to it appears.

Greenfield just got beat at home in a mild upset by the now 4-3 Ironladies

We will know more about Western on Thursday when they host Eastern Pike. Roney will be a challenge for Western. If they can get a w in this one then I think you would have to consider them one of the top d4 teams in the area. I really hate that Im going to miss this one.

Fort Frye should be mentioned. They are just across river from Waterford, and about 15 miles up 339 from Warren.
They have beaten Warren, and snapped Wheeling based Linsleys 25 game win streak.
They are 4-0

I know where they are but am just wondering about the SE District. I read about FF on here and they are as good as anyone in the SE District....but like Fayetteville, Huntington St Joe and Clinton Massie last year...they aren't in the district even though they were in SE District leagues or within 5-10 miles of the area.

I know it's not southeast district, but since someone is eventually going to play them in tourney time, all I can say is Newark Catholic and Fairfield Ch. are both very strong at D4 coming out of central.

Logan is doing great this year. That win over Watterson is very quality.

Header did not mention SE Dist., and the site is Southeastern ohio Preps. Thanks to them for letting us non SE Dist. people post on this forum. :-D
That being said Fort Frye does play half the Wash. Co schools in the SE Dist. Waterford, Warren, and Belpre.

Fort Frye isn't in the Southeast District, but someone with a good arm could hit it with a rock from the roof of the school building. Considering that, and how many SE teams they play, you may as well hear about them.

Well, maybe you'd need driver and a golf ball, but if the wind was right, you could do it. I couldn't. I would slice it straight down third street.
