Any word on who is in the running for this job? I think it's an appealing position and would definitely apply if I lived closer or worked in the area.

Not sure how good a job this is, going to be battling for 2nd the next 7 years as Alexander is loaded for bear. But Vinton does have some talent.

The new coach is Rod Bentley from Logan.

VC just picked up some new players!

I wouldn't worry to much about Alexander. They have to deal with Athens this year and Nelsonville is loaded for bear also.

Which girls are going to VC from Logan?

Best of luck to coach Bentley and the Vikings, from what I hear you better hope he is 100 percent committed or it could be an interesting season. Did anyone find out why coach Dixon decided to not return?

Leave the guy alone, he will do a quality job.

I agree, Everyone I have spoken with said he definitely knows and lives the game. If he sticks around for a few years they could be dangerous. I am sure the lady vikings will eventually get where they need to be if given the chance.They do return a very, very good post player and if it is true that they are getting some new players with this hire they may be much better than people thought.

Not a good hire but a GREAT hire! Coach Bentley is a true motivator in all aspects of the game. I do know the guy is high energy and loves to press. Look for a very fast pace, in your face type team. My advice to the people of VC, grab some popcorn, have a seat and sit back and enjoy the show. Best of luck to you Coach Bentley and the VC girls.

The cupboard's not bare by any means at VC in both boys and girls basketball. Both squads will have very young but highly talented players to put on the court.
I think??? M. Puckett and S. Owing are sophomores, both excellent players. Not sure about another Hale young lady on varsity, one on jv last year I think, but I do know Xan Hale and another Hale (I don't think she played her sr year) graduated.
A team that could beat any one they play, but could also lose to teams they should beat.
