Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Wellston Lady Rockets captured the 1st Sectional Title in school history tonight. If my information is correct, that is a major accomplishment for the young ladies! What a great moment for the program! Congrats! Best of luck in the district semis vs a tough Chesapeake Lady Panthers team.

I read the article online and the 23-28 just jumped out insanely. Was she penetrating and getting fouled every time?

They wont get past CHESAPEAKE . Humphreys would have to have another great night and she cant pull it off against this team. When Athens played at Wellston, up until the middle of the 4th quarter she had 2 points...ended game with 9 I think. MOST of those coming from the FT line. Pressure on Wellston and I see it getting the best of them.

This could be a very close game. If Wellston can cut down on the turnovers and hit their shots.

I'll guess by 28 ft she was getting into the lane and Belpre was a step late everytime. I imagine Peake will have a defense ready and have players ready to step in. My guess is Wellston and Humphreys will have to hit outside shots to win.

Wellston is the favorite according to the seeds.
