The South Gallia Lady Rebel Holiday Tournament finals and consolation were played tonight. They were originally scheduled for January 2 but postponed due to bad weather.

After seeing Webster play the other night I'm not shocked. The SOC 2 is a very tough league and in my opinion Webster is the best team. Should be a very good and interesting game when they go to Oak Hill.

Really? The SOC II is pretty loaded this year and Webster is arguably the best team (definitely top 2). My nephew was at the game and said South Webster only played good in the 3rd quarter and shot terrible from the line or it could have been much much worse.

Sad thing is the score after the 1st quarter was Gallia Academy 7 SG 0. I was beginning to think SG may get shut out. Gallia Academy really misses the Slone girl. She tore her ACL before the season started. Next year GA will have a solid core and they are going to win some games.

Eastern didn't play well either but its obvious Webster is the better team. Any time you go on the road and beat a good team by 20.. you have proven something. Eastern doesn't have it much easier tomorrow as Notre Dame comes to town.

In the Eastern-Webster game it was actually tight thru the 1st half. I believe it was 28-22 Webster at half. And as someone above stated, Webster came out in the 3rd & played alot more settled in & pretty much took control of the game.
Webster is very athletic with shooters & well coached.
I believe the biggest downfall for Eastern is that they only carry 7 players total (no jv squad at all). They are a good club with a nice coach but the couple of times I have seen them it seems that fatigue (depth) is an issue for them.
