Lawrence County Lightning

The Lawrence County Lightning girls basketball team is looking for a few girls to round out our rosters for the upcoming travel season. WE need 3 girls for our 6th grade team, 3 for our 8th grade team, and 3 for our 9th grade team. If interested PM me for details. We are based in Proctorville/Chesapeake/Ironton area and currently have girls from 10 different schools. Our teams this year are looking to compete in the 6th/7th/8th/9th/
and 10th-11th combined divisions of GBA and AAU basketball tournaments.

Any idea of the cost to be on the team..when it would start(practices) and how often practices would be? And how long it would take to get there from Jackson? Thanks in advance.

Uniform is approximately 75 dollars-entry fee per kid per tourney is around 40 dollars. About 1 hr from Jackson. 2 team practices per week and 1 position specific practice per week that is on the same night as one of the practices. Only 2 trips this way. All of our tourneys are within 2 to 3 hrs from this area. We play Rio Grande/Athens/Marietta/Huntington/Columbus/Cincy. We carry 8 kids per team.

Not this year. 6th grade is our youngest team as we expand. Still doing instruction for younger kids in the form of 3 on 3 instructional league and clinics and seminars. PM for info.

We are having our 3rd annual Boyd Co Girls basketball tournament March 20-22 . $100.00 entry gets you a guarantee of 3 games. Pool games will be either Thursday or Friday evening then single elimination tournament on Saturday. Please contact Paul Miller at
