Coaching Changes 2015-16

I have only seen 2 postings from the area on the OHSAA website (Athens & Fairfield Union). Any other changes on the horizon for next season?

I would guess Mark Fortney will get the Athens job. He was the assistant for Wayne and this year he coached the really good girls team in middle school

I heard Kayla Cook applied for the girls job at Northwest. She would be a fantastic hire if true!

I heard Kayla Cook was asked if she might have any interest and sent NW a resume but didn't fill out an application yet. She is also considering other options including grad assistant at colleges but may still remain at Clay as JV coach. Another Kayla switched head coaching positons as Kayla Wiley will be New Boston's new varsity coach as Coach Estep left to become Wheelersburg's soccer coach. This creates an opening at Portsmouth West. I also don't think Portsmouth East has filled its opening yet.

Hearing Steve Clippinger from Lancaster/Fairfield Union will be hired Monday by the Logan BOE as the new girls varsity coach ... a non-teacher I believe ... we'll find out for sure Monday evening for the BOE voting ...

Wouldn't see why they would want to leave with this new coach. These girls can go far this year and with the time the new coach has and record he just might be a better girls coach than Martin.
Martin was leaving anyway you look at it. Don't really think it had anything to do with Helber. The new coach could be better in the long run for Logan.
