Should be strong only lost three seniors from last year

Holden, Ruby, Coleman, and Akers will be very tough again, so 3 of the starting 5 return and Ruby played big minutes late in the season as a freshman. Finding point production to replace Smith will be a tall task, but will have to be evenly distributed over the team. Depth will be an issue, because if you remember there were several JV games cancelled last year due to a lack of players. There are some incoming freshman who are very good that may be called upon to give depth on the varsity right away.

4th n Goal is right. It will be hard to replace Smith she was their main 3 point shooter. Also the Adams girl was also an all round good player. Those were the only two seniors they had from last year.

A program shouldn't have to rely on freshman for depth. Coach seems to lose players early or during season.

You have to when your #'s are way down. They finished jv games last yr with 4 players on the court.

Plenty of numbers in junior high. Somehow girls don't want to play when they get in high school. One girl has quit mid season in the last two seasons and some are not coming out at all after junior high.

I'm not sure about the quitting part but boys team doesn't have the #'s anymore either. Kids don't play all the sports anymore. Soccer, volleyball, softball all very popular now at burg.

I remember an oak hill jv game where they beat someone who was down to only 3 players at the end. The other team had an injury and someone foul out I think and oak hill came back to win. Oak hill pressed and somehow those 3 players were unable to break the press and lost

Fort Frye should be very good again lead by one the best defenders in the state Alexis Enoch. Also I look for coaches daughter Makayla Leidtke to have a huge year.
