These girls are stacked from top to bottom, this team is very young still, the team will be led by possibly the best player is southeast Ohio, that being Morgan Bentley! If you haven’t seen this girl play she is a freaking stud! Also coming back this year is senior point guard Josie ousley, Josie was a huge part of this teams success last year! Mariah Davis returns this year after a season ending knee injury at the beginning of the season, also Zoey keifer will be exciting to watch this year as she is 6’1” and has put a ton of work in this offseason! This will quite possibly be the beat girls team Vinton county has seen and coach Bentley has added some tough games to prepare these girls for a long post season run! Get out and watch these girls play!

I was there Saturday I have never seen a team this ready on opening night.. something tells me coach Bentley has had them in gym more then his allowed days.. They looked great they are as exciting team as there is to watch boys or girls in southeastern Ohio..

Boys and girls are not comparable different levels of athletes. Vinton county is a basketball community. Coach combs has been a pillar of success for a while and will always have a competitive team on the floor.. Coach Bentley has the lady vikes rolling!!! Combs and Bentley are great hoops leaders!!!! Thought I saw a score posted showing Vinton won by 5-6

VC won by 5. The Vikings had around a 5-10 point lead most of the way. Warren played tough. The warriors have a nice team.

Nothing against the girls. But about time a girl goes up for a layup and a boy has a hard foul or comes down with a rebound with a legal elbow and hits her.

This is a stupid conversation.. vinton county girls might be the most skilled basketball team I have ever watched boys or girls but boys and girls don’t relate in contact sports. I’m just happy to watch the Vikings basketball program I truly enjoy watching coach combs produce solid teams year after year and coach Bentley’s team are relentless in effort every night . Vinton couty in my opinion has the the two top hoops leaders in there in there divisions in the area..

So...with a "running clock" the Vikings, I am assuming subs, out scored the Rockets, 13 to 8 in the second half? This may be a long year for Coach Sturgill and the Lady Rockets.

I was told that it was asked for by one of the two coaches. I am not going to disclose which one, but it was asked for and granted.
